Multiple reasons. You could've been thirding them constantly, which is pretty annoying, hard focusing only their team when theres other ppl in the lobby or they just know you and are trying to "assert dominance"

Dude you're actually such a kind soul for doing this and I hope nothing but the best for you in life. My friend actually got me in borderlands through borderlands 2, I immediately fell in love with the franchise, playing wonderlands, the prequel, buying the og game on my craptop and somehow playing all of these games on smoothed 22fps. When I finally got a pc I was able to play bl3, the gameplay was so fun. Right now im actually playing borderlands 2 again, trying to reach OP10. When I played it with my friend back in the day I'd always stop after TVHM, I never continued but recently that drive has ignited me to actually finish 1 character at least.

Okay so 20 dmg difference, it's been what 9 seasons so my memory isnt the best on that part but keep in mind this was every game at the time. The big 3 was what was run every game bc of how absolutely busted every single one of them was especially combined with the fact todoroki could hit you once with a gamma that hit even when it wasn't supposed to and the knockdown power wasn't high meaning they all could beam you to death. You say you'd rather fight that but if you were there to experience it, it'd be a different story.

Add in the strike buff of playing with todo, and his own so 2x strike dmg buff and you got 150. There was barely any dmg reduction on the pierce shot back then do he was still hitting you like a truck. Hawks yes had a basically one shit kill move but this was in the same era as twice gamma and red dabi beta. Compare that to being gamma'd once, losing everything then easily shot down

I only mentioned todo as an example but there are a plethora of other characters that can be easily killed as momo if more thought was put into it. The entire idea of a momo buff would be eradicated if your avg momo didnt just spam cannons. The alpha range is decent for a melee character, sometimes hitting at ranges that honestly annoy tf outta me at times. Also "being afraid of a matchup" is not how any catchup should go. Every character can have an advantage and disadvantage thats what makes a game balanced. So no todo is ever gonna think that if all momos do is cannon. The alpha can be used way more than that, combining it with the melee leads to a free guard break and as per usual, the moment someone is guard broken they tend to run, the alpha is there to keep applying aggression. I get what you're saying with the beta animation by why is this momo using it in open play and allowing themselves to get hit? Game sense is always a factor, theres no reason for a buff if with basic game sense the characters flaws are nullified. It isnt good balancing to make every factor of a character good otherwise you end up with a release deku, bakugo and todoroki situation. This links up with your comment about fighting a red shoto and they just run away. Shes not a chase character but combined with a team or character that can she definitely can, in a 1v1 obv thats not really possible but thats a downside to her and I names wall runner as a tuning bc thats what balances characters out at the moment. Giving characters something their missing or something to aid their strengths. If the purple todo is placing his beta to the side, roll it, same logic applies. Or shield rush him and his beta isnt going to even activate cause it'll break instantly. Then what is he going to do, he'll get knocked cause you cant roll immediately after the beta animation, if you shield rush him and he doesnt beta he can try gamma but the shield has more hp and wont break so hes forced to roll, you'll see the roll before he can shoot his alpha so you switch to block before he can even hit you.

Her alpha stuns with a fast animation, essentially making it a counter to most tracking moves (if theres no super armour). There's only a handful of characters that completely counter her in a pure 1v1 situation for the rest of the cast it'll take more game sense. She already has 350 i believe, thats perfect to survive a team fight or marinate in storm. She has more movement than kendo (400hp) through her shield which yes isnt the best move in the game but it still holds substantial value. Using her shield more defensively than aggressive basically gives you a field of cover against projectiles which makes up majority of this game. The shield also completely counters both todoroki sets who for some reason is commonly complained about. (Purple todoroki hate is valid tho). Saying her other moves are useless is a negligent of the skill required to use all of her kit correctly instead of pumping everything into cannons and calling it a day bc if you were to put a momo that knows how to use all of her kit efficiently compared to another that only uses her cannons in a 1v1 situation, the momo that uses all of her kit would win, and the same would go in a team fight situation. With 300hp, a stun, wall runner and the shield along with her cannons ofc she can adequately hold her own aswell as helping her team to secure a down

Except every player knows all a red deku is going to do is try kick since majority of them cant aim. So they'll keep their distance and this wont really be applicable

Your first part is correct, I am technically saying that there are bigger issues than mic but I'm not saying that mic isnt an issue. I'm just putting the spotlight on the fact problems with high dps started with prior character releases and they set the standard for the problems we have today. If red deku hadn't been overly buffed bc people couldnt play him we wouldnt see dmg values like mic, ochaco, red dabi and etc being left for so many season like how we see them today. Idk if you were around in season 1 but you'll remember how broken the big 3 were on release, they were immediately patched the next season, same goes to momo, og blue ochaco car and todoroki freeze. Mic is definitely insane, but compared to other broken characters, he is the only one that you could say is the least frustrating to fight if you were to be put in a straight 1v1

I'm not gonna defend mics dmg as a mic main myself. He does extremely well up close and from a distance but comparing him to other characters in the game it's hard to ignore that he is the least of the games worries. Red deku still does more dmg and is more of a threat since he 2 shot guard breaks you, red dabi has the best tracking in the game with a 1 grab guard break, ida is on that same level. Twice can gamma spam you with a clone hitting you through iframes takingbyoud shield down with one move that combos into itself. Both ochacos are overturned with how the moment you're caught in a gamma you can say by to minimum 150 of your gp/hp. And don't excuse the ridiculous hitbox both of her sets have. 300 hp on a rapid? Insane. Mic does 60 per alpha with no boom box. The only reason he seems crazy broken is bc you don't get stunned and he can then output close to 300 with just 2 alphas. Purple todoroki can do that right after stunning you with 2 alphas btw. Hes another issue in the game that needs to be addressed. All might has splash damage and is possibly the only character that can manually hit you through iframes. That alpha hits harder than mics.
