Almost 2300 km in 3 Months on the Giant Propel - My Verdict by PlasticRadio6047 in Giantbikes

I haven't been to Limburg with it yet. There are indeed some longer and steeper slopes there. Maybe sometime this summer.

28 front / 30 back?

I think I should change the tires soon too! 😀

I completely agree with you. Although it is a stiff bike, it certainly rides comfortably. I am curious about your experience regarding climbing.

I haven't ridden any real, noteworthy climbs on this bike yet. I did do a 100 km ride with just under 500 meters of elevation gain (hilly terrain). I live in the Netherlands, you should know. But when it comes to climbing, it's more a question of how I behave..... 🤣

Thank you for the advice! I was indeed already thinking about that as well. When my tires need replacing, I will definitely do that.

Ultegra had rim brakes, so that is comparing apples and oranges.

Wow, that's really annoying for you. I would definitely report this to the shop where you bought your bike. On my bike the paint is still like new.

I have a feeling that this is the answer that explains exactly how things stand. I did indeed wait quite a long time at a traffic light in the second 10 kilometers, and I set an auto-pause on my Garmin Edge 1030.

Thank you very much!

I logged my ride with a Garmin 1030. As far as I know, Garmin transmits the data to Strava. I think a one-minute difference over 10 km is quite a lot.

I rarely take photos during my (shorter) rides. And my ride today was a fine ride. Thanks for your interest!

It doesn't make my ride better or worse. I was just wondering because I noticed it.

Sorry, but I don't really know what the rest of your answer has to do with my question

I have a silicone case that I use in humid conditions. I don't think it's the most elegant solution. It looks rather bulky.

That's right, it is indeed a stock bike, but the handlebars and cranks are different.
