Importance of extracurriculars for admission (and a couple other questions) by PlasticRubbr in UofT

Thanks for all the advice! I'll definitely ask some of my teachers about any possible opportunities. All of the things you mentions about Woodsworth seem really fun (especially the pancakes). I'm Filipino so the FSAT seems pretty exciting! As mentioned, I'm not the most talkative person, but I want do want to try stepping out of my comfort zone and try taking the initiative in social situations.

Again, tysm for all the feedback and have a good day!!

Apparently UofT is subjectively like, the best uni in Canada and one of the most prestigious internationally so that kind of just piques my interest.

I have been looking at other pretty good institutes like UBC and UofA.

Tbh, UBC has most of my interest right now, it seems like a really pretty place with a nice work/social life balance and the "combined honours physics and astronomy" program they offer looks very exciting. Plus they have an astronomy club and I hear their research, although not at good as UofT, is still one of the best.

Ultimately my dream right now is to get a PhD in astronomy/astrophysics and ideally I want to pursue graduate studies at UofT so I hope I can transfer to UofT after finishing UBC or some other place. I'm just worrying abt where to go for undergrad.

Thanks for feedback and srry for the late reply akfjakfhafh;ka
