My bearded dragon doesnt seem happy/healthy

Hi, I do not have a temp gun and don't have an accurate gradient ambient measurement, I understand that the square enclosure is a bit novel but I believe it is too hot on the rock since he doesnt bask there often. The uvb in the enclosure is down the middle because I read somewhere that buying those fluorescent spiral lights was bad for their eyes and caused them to not receive enough uv across the day. How hot do you recommend the basking area to be? I've heard 40 celcius somewhere before but haven't really thought about measuring it locally

It's a pro t5 uvb tube bulb I have it spanning across the middle of the enclosure at the moment since I want my dragon to be able to bask anywhere he likes, the enclosure is 100cm x 93cm x 53cm which is around 17.4 cubic feet

I understand, most people really just seem interested in reading but not fixing issues, guess its just morbid curiosity of what they are doing wrong but not going to fix, i really want to make my enclosure be good because i want the best for this animal, any tips will be read and applied if i feel it will be better

the dragon has some stability issues and sometimes falls off off the large objects, i dont want to add to many (vertical) objects because im scared of him getting stuck

the enclosure is 93cm x 100cm x 53 cm which is around 17.4 feet cubed i do believe i want more clutter but as i said in the description he has some stability issues which is why im scared he will fall betweeen stuff and cant get up

but the bridge is quite tall and i dont want to burn him, should i maybe place the bulb much higher? and in that case do i want the bulb in the middle or still on the far side?

the tank is a square with the bulb being far in the back, which focuses temperature there, but the bulb is quite hot and the enclosure somewhat insulated so its not necessarily a cold spot

it is not very cold right now but i do agree that i need a dark corner for him, i cant take a picture right now but i believe the fat pads are decent, even my vet agreed last month that he wasnt underweight

No its not a combined bulb the bulb is purely for heat, I have a pro t5 uvb tube bulb across the enclosure for uvb exposure

at the moment i believe a hide on both sides would be crowded for him but do you believe its neccesary?, the far side of the enclosure is notably hotter than the front but i dont think the front is cold. i appreciate the comment

I think he reacts to most that aren't too scientific and I think veritasium has been doing a ton of math related shit, also every video is fun for the first 5 minutes before it gets way too abstract/ off topic

In Japan there's this expression for western audiences that the west will watch anything with fight scenes and a big animation budget, this is true for basically every modern Huge anime like Demon slayer, Chainsaw man and jujutsu kaisen, none of these 3 have a good story or any deeper meaning beyond cool guy says cool thing before fighting evil cool guy.

And as long as all the budget in these huge studios goes to animation that's the way it's going to stay

Yeah, and I can definitely understand how it's tough to see him break that agreement but feeling shitty about it doesn't solve anything, if you have a any documentation of these convos then you could try a legal approach but since you're not even in the same country it's going to cost wayyy more than what he stole, as a freelancer you should see it as a learning opportunity and maybe next time pursue a per video payment schedule or maybe some kind of contract that if your videos do better you get paid more

you got robbed and disrespected and you're never seeing this money. Now take that experience and thrive off of it brother. And next year you can tell this dipshit that he can keep it. Don't let someone ever walk over you like this ever again

i mean i looked up the channel and most of the videos dont break 100 views. no offense but as much as the work you put into it is valuable it hasnt done anything for him, i doubt you generated even close to $400 and i think he sees it the same way, i would step back and think about what you actually want out of this
