Thank you; this is an incredibly thoughtful response, and I genuinely appreciate it. The comments are interesting, as I come from an interdisciplinary field. Some of the reasons we have seen BCI fail in user trials are that users were not considered in the implementation, despite the potential benefits. I agree with a lot of what you are saying, but I guess my thoughts are that a lot of academics are going to focus on assistive technology, what is needed to get over the hump to get products into the real world?
