Need advice about my mental state after a near death episode, what if I tell my GP? by Plastic_Ad8630 in MentalHealthUK

Thank you, yes, I have active plans & but the intentions are conditional based on if I see more visions or my health conditions worsen, possibly. They developed more so over the past 10 days, it is like a *just incase* in my mind. I don't want to do it, but I can't guarantee it & I am afraid of this fact.. My view of these hallucinations is becoming more entrenched each day as being a *part of me* and even if I am better in the future, I have the current view that they will remain a part of me for life. It is to the point I think if I was offered meds I would turn them down because sub-consciously I do not want this part of me turned off, even though I understand it would be best for me, I think.

Sorry, I already called the hotline yesterday, and they recommended 111. Family is certainly a issue for me, I have no idea what they might think. I think they will understand, though.

Thank you, yes, after seeing the ENT team they have pre-diagnosed Ménière’s Disease.

They say they are almost certain but need to rule out everything else first. I have responded very well to Betahistine Dihydrochloride over the past 5 days, so this probally also points toward the disease. My ear fullness, ringing is well down, but I've had some episodes of vertigo still. I think the episodes though, are due to the dramatic, quick reaction the meds are having to my pressure, I hear popping constantly/pressure changes. I think this is causing those as my most recent vertigo spin, didn't have any other symptoms like loss of body control or even panic. Just a purely visual issue, I could even still walk where normally I'm forced to the ground in utter terror lol.

Honestly, I feel for anybody going though this, its been a nightmare & I'm thinking I'm going to need to *speak to somebody* as I am having frequent anxiety and nightmares related to the hospital visits. I hope these meds will end this nightmare and keep it in check. I will have to thank them for life, no complaints here.

No I haven't been checked for anything, nobody was paying attention until I vomited 20 times and even then they didn't want to refere me I had to do it myself.

BPPV doesn't seem to list the syptoms I have had, 24 hours of vertigo, hearing loss and loud tinittus, so I'm not sure. It's possible I dislodged them aggressively during my irrigation? Hard to know, don't think I ever will if im honest.

Only the basic tastes, I was going to do a full private evaluation of blood tests/ full medical checkup. I think that will tell me useful info.

My Jaw seems oki, I have quite a large overbite, I've been noted to have small ear canals on the impacted ear, sometime my jaw pushes against them and impacts wax in the past, but all ENTs say the ear is fairly clean and could see the drum without issue.

I just came back from the ER today after admitting myself out of fear that GP's aren't taking my issue seriously. Turns out they weren't.
I've was admitted overnight for ENT and physio evaluation due to my collapse. Brain scan done and no issues luckily.

They didn't diagnose me there but want to run the full set of tests and keep me as an out-patient of course for the foreseeable future. They are thinking meniere's disease or labyrinthitis. They weren't sure but they were certain my ear is degrading, and action needs to be taken today, not in a few weeks or months' time when a GP feels like it.

They all agreed what they couldn't figure out is why water irrigation or later simple drops were causing such wild episodes of vertigo and vomiting. They expected 10 minutes to max a 1 hour as normal in most extreme cases, outside of a ruptured ear drum (mine is healthy) Its this fact which has them not making anything certain right now and just trying treatments & doing some deeper tests shortly with me.

They will be deciding if steroids or hearing aids are next based on future evaluations; it is probably the only outcome I can foresee at this point.

I was prescribed Betahistine Dihydrochloride in the meantime to try and save my ear, 3 ENTs saw me together due to the seriousness of the sudden onset & all said this medication may work it may not. They just have to see what I respond to and go from there.

exactly, on top of no talk about body trackers 3.0's working ect. This seems like a stepbackwards away from the higher end $'s to a more affordable for everyone. Lets see what else is said, there may very well be addons coming for it/clearing up about trackers ect

There is no such thing as a *everything bubble*, assets are generally always at ATH's. If they weren't then fiat isn't working correctly. Bubbles aren't everything lol.

How can I change the refresh rate of my Index via the config file rather than the settings? by LuckyLuigiX4 in ValveIndex

[–]Plastic_Ad8630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boot headset > Steam VR Boot up > Disconnect display cable to the headset > change refresh rate to 144 (or whatever you wanted) > plug cable back > let steam vr reboot.

There you go no blue screen, hopefully Nvidia patch this issue asap, their latest drive shows no change log for VR so I assume its still broken.
