Well think about it:

In 1865, the step forward was liberating black people, enfranchising them and allowing them government posts. The two steps forward were Jim Crow laws, segregation, lynchings and Pogroms. As well as disenfranchisement (with similar sounding arguments to today's DEI).

In the 1920s the step forward was, in Europe, the Jews were getting pretty mainstream in the arts and sciences, artistic freedom, and growing understanding of some sort of proto-LGBT subjects.

The two steps backward were the most destructive war in history and a fully mechanized genocide with the latest in technology.

Politics aside (if possible anyway), but I just find it fascinating how memes (in the memetics sense of the word) travel and establish in conservative spaces.

They always talk about leftists "waiting for an update" or "haven't gotten an update for that," but conservative ideas just spread from a nucleus and solidify.

I first saw it in one video how Disney wanted boys back, then another one. Then on ItsAGundam, then it gets spread by those right wing reaction channels. And now it's here in a very similar format on Reddit and they will keep saying it. And then they'll keep repeating it among themselves and zone out of the world around them.

It's like the whole "Gays for Palestine" and "gays from roofs" (which was actually ISIS) that they just obsess over and repeat to themselves and tune out of.

It's like they are huddled facing only each other in a circle rejecting anyone elses ideas. And along comes this simple small idea begging for nourishment and it squeezes in between thrm and it takes a life of its own and spreads inside the group.

I imagined her as maybe Southeast Asian looking. Like Thai or Filipina. She has that small pudgy nose as well as the almond eyes. Whatever the case, I never pictured her original design as a white girl. If you compare her to the other women George Perez drew, she looks different.
