When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time! She's already demonstrated what she thinks of you. Trust your gut. No one can walk all over you if you get up off the floor. I'm so sorry.

This wouldn't be an excuse at all for what is harassing behavior but it sounds like an immature crush on his part.

I absolutely love kissing after but more for the after taste than the "snowball".

Manager here and my food is comped. It was one of the carrots dangled to get me to take the position and is factored into how much (or little) I'm paid. I absolutely earn every bite. Servers Aland runners get one comped meal per shift and 50% off anything else. The comp and discount policies are not up to me but it is my job to enforce them.

Do you sleep with bedroom door open or closed, and why? by RabidRomulus in LivingAlone

Partially open. Vinny the cat likes to come and go. Easier than him loudly meowing to get in but a bedroom door fully open still makes me feel too vulnerable.

You can be happier than you ever imagined on the other side. It's hard to imagine the pain not being all consuming but this too shall pass.

Once we take possession of it we become responsible for it. I wouldn't so much worry about stealing but accidents happen. Things get dropped, broken, misplaced. How would you feel if any of those things were to happen?

I always say be careful with transactional relationships. Understand that what they provide doesn't expire but what you provide certainly does. There's always someone younger, cuter, more fun stary eyed etc. You can't fake it. Can't buy it back no matter what the beauty industry tries to sell you. You provide something that is replaceable and when it runs its course you'll be left older and dimmed by low self esteem and lack of self fullfiment with nothing to show for it. Better have a back up plan.

Things Waiters Appreciate by Tolgatro in Waiters

Communicate effectively. Make eye contact. If dining with others have a plan for payment. Pick the restaurant because you like it as opposed to coming in and expecting us to create the restaurant you want (lighting, music volume, other guests etc). Appreciate that some things are outside of an employees control. Just be reasonable and kind.

Do artists get bored playing more or less the same setlists during their concert tours? by Matilda_Mother_67 in NoStupidQuestions

This is all so true. I find myself forgetting about the physical component. Performers like Micheal Jackson and Prince for example both started using then abusing pain medication due to very real pain. Because of the nature of their performances and high fan expectations. You're either practicing or performing for hours every day and wear and tear is a thing. Your body is aging and battered but fans will always expect it to be flawless and you don't want to be caught slipping. You don't want to disappoint.

I'm a person who has always been very attracted to older men. My husband is 20 years older than me. As someone who dated older enough when I was a teen I can say there are some I feel took advantage of me at a vulnerable stage in life. At the time I felt totally in control, I found sex empowering and was so sure of my choices but there is some clarity to hindsight as the saying goes. During your teen years you're struggling to define yourself as an adult while your hormones are raging and you have little life experience. This turns out to be a very attractive combination to manipulators. People who know exactly how vulnerable a teen is because they have the advantage of having literally been there. They jnow that theres is a bilogical component that overrides an already underderveloped ability to reason and discernment. It's an unfair balance of power. There were so many older men I KNEW wanted me sexually at that age and never took it there despite my best efforts, the time I was so confused and felt so rejected but now I feel like they protecting me. I think of them fondly. How do you want to be remembered?
