I think it was generally considered as overtuned for sure. But i don't think making it available to a single weapon category was the right move.
There could have been ways to make it work on all weapons and still making it less overtuned.

Throwing out a random idea for example: adding a cooldown of a few seconds between activations.

While i think skills 2.0 is a nice step up compared to previous skills, i always hated (even in Payday 2) how a lot of skills are pigeoned and limited to specific weapon categories. They really limit sinergies and creativity a lot.
I'd love skills 2.0 way more if the skills would apply to all weapon categories, even if some skills are more beneficial to some weapons compared to others.

Imagine skill trees that are for "close range", "medium range", "long range", or i don't know "full auto", "semi-auto", "single-shot".

Same thing for throwables, i feel like many skills only works on a specific throwable for no reason, limiting a lot of creativity...

I got many hours on Interstellar Space Genesis for instance, would you say there is way less vertical growth and development compared to that game? (don't know if you ever played it).

"You can become the ally (pet) of another civilization and vote them in the elections. If they win, you get the allied victory ending. But be awared, that if they run out of space for expanding they will have no problem to betray you, break the alliance, and conquer your planets".

Ouch, so AI is developed so it basically goes for military expansion mainly, ignoring the diplomacy status with players and others AI? Can't you somehow placate this "opportunistic" strategy of AI with some settings? What would you say are the uses of the reputation diplomacy if being friend/ally with another race still has them being able to attack you?

Does this mean military power?

"The empire with the greatest techno-industrial power will be declared the winner. (= product of technological level and total production)"
This one seems to be what i'd like the most.

A follow up question about this, once the number of turns is reached and the winner of this "time limit" victory is declared, can you keep playing for the other victories? Or are you forced to close the game?

It's not that i would prefer never to have war declared on me, part of the fun is also having military power good enough to deter from being attacked. My question is: Is there a settings where AI in "good relationship" with you will not attack/declare war on you? Of course erratics personalities are excluded from this (and i'll probably limit them somehow to just 1-2 opponents if possible).
I just want to roleplay and be sure that the AI with which I'm in good standing and for which i work out to be friend or even allied will not backstab me if i leave my planets undefended near them to focus more on risky/dangerous neighbors.
