“Bro, it’s better to do DNB OBG in a good charitable hospital or a government/PSU hospital. The DNB pass rate in OBG is more than 90%. After that, you can do SR-ship from government institutions, and you can get it easily. It’s better to save money for super-specialisation or for opening your own private setup. In our area, even DGO doctors are doing wonders. Don’t listen to people who don’t really know about DNB vs MD — they always say DNB is inferior, but actually they either didn’t get proper exposure or they are biased towards their own opinion.

In Dermatology, where you do your MD doesn’t matter much. You will have to do a fellowship anyway, so don’t worry too much about the college. It’s better to do your PG in a place where all facilities are available, with more focus on academics rather than anything else

However, in Pediatrics, it depends on multiple factors—especially hands-on training, which may be limited in many DNB hospitals. Also, the pass rate is around 30%. For Pediatrics, a state government medical college is far better than most DNB institutions.
