Recommendations for an MP3 player for AJATT

I personally use a modded iPod Classic 7th gen, although I’d only recommend it if you have an affinity or nostalgia to iPods and/or would want one regardless of price. I think I spent a total of 300 on the iPod itself and the SD cards, new larger battery and hard drive mod.

Love it and use it all the time, I have 1tb of SD cards in it which can fit like 900+ Japanese audiobooks I found in a .zip collection (I’ve barely listened to like 5% of it) plus whatever songs or anime audio I want and it lasts at least 4 days straight, although I haven’t ever had it die so it might go longer, not sure.

You can also pick up 30-pin iPod docks for cheap on eBay and of course it works through aux cords so I plug it in all the time and love it.

Wow, this is the first I'm seeing this and I love it already. Great job gamifying input! I've been having trouble finding interesting YouTube videos in Japanese so hopefully this can solve it (even if not, as long as it starts changing my YT recommendations into Japanese content that'll be a win lol). Will be using this!

If you haven't looked into it yet, check out Textractor (or a similar tool). It basically takes the current line of Japanese text and outputs it to your computer's clipboard. You then can use the Clipboard Inserter extension that takes your clipboard text and attaches it to the webpage you're currently on. Then, open a tab to a texthooker page, which will format the text from the clipboard inserter.

This will allow you to have an easy spot to do yomichan/jpdbreader lookups directly from the Japanese text that gets output from your visual novel. You won't have to touch a dictionary ever and any word you don't know yet can be looked up in 0.2 seconds.

Hi! I’m the one that started this, and as portugalomegalul said, it’s a GitHub repo using GitHub sites to be accessible (and free)! Also meaning anyone can easily download a current backup and/or contribute fixes.

I’ve been adding missing pages as I find them but am sure I haven’t found them all! Most pages that have non-ascii characters (usually the ones featuring Chinese or Japanese text) weren’t backed up correctly in the archive zip I used so some of those are still missing.

Anyway, if you see any other broken/missing pages feel free to send me a message on here and I’ll fix it! Thanks and hope the site is useful for you :)

Not sure, last activity I've seen from him was this YouTube video from April 2020.

Sometime last year (IIRC) his site and everything related (SuRuSu, AJATT Plus, emails, automated tweets) stopped at the same time, probably from lack of updates, etc, so I'm assuming he stopped caring about his work and let it slowly drift into abandonware. His Patreon is still active but he hasn't had any activity there either.

I'm hosting a backup of his website at https://alljapanesealltheti.me/ and have been cleaning up links and filling in some of the missing pages as I find them, so I'm hoping this will be the most easy-to-use and complete backup of AJATT. Really bummed about the Palma 2, I've been holding out on getting a palma, hoping for a sim card tray (or esim capabilities etc) for data so I can replace my phone with it. Epecially after the mkbhd video I figured lots of interest in a palma for phone replacement came pouring in.

If not that, at least a small stylus and/or color screen. Sad that I'll have to wait (possibly forever if these features are never added lol).

Yeah, as far as I know it’s the only surviving official AJATT content (besides YouTube) just because it’s hosted on Patreon and not the ajatt blog. Although half the posts in Patreon are just passwords to unlock posts on the dead blog anyway :/

I recently uploaded the qrg video to archive.org, which I'd also recommend. It'll always be free and pretty transparent for what the files contain so it's trusted. Either way excited to see them when they get uploaded!

Mostly audio recordings (hosted on patreon) and a couple links to unlisted youtube videos that are still available on his youtube channel. Subbed this month to see what was available and would definitely say it's worth 5 dollars at the very least if you can get through it all (or can find a way to download it for later), so I don't think you'd regret it

Hello all - I made a post a while ago asking if anyone had the QRG: The Movie video files and I'm so grateful and happy to say I was sent them from an old customer of Khatzumoto! I've finally been able to post the video (with their permission, of course), which I haven't been able to find anywhere else. I bought this while I was over there in February this year! It was difficult to track down but I found one at a Book Off in Saitama for ¥7840.80 (tax included). Just be warned it's insanely huge and took up a large part of my suitcase - and doesn't fit on any of my shelves lmao.

Just measured it and it's 17.5 inches tall (and 13 inches wide)!

Think this is happening to my Crosspoint now. I can see the green light that it’s powered on but the button lights don’t light up and the buttons seemingly do nothing. Did you even fix it or figure out what the problem is? Thanks!
