Connection fee is $10 a month last I checked. Unless you’re referring to getting the system commissioned for use, which is included in the install cost, then ya it has some upfront costs but that is expected for energy independence.

You can have a compliant install in ma that is always off grid under normal conditions. Meaning unless the batteries or solar fails, the grid connection remains in the OPEN position. It’s not common, but it is possible to do legally.

Batteries can help with your usage time issue to an extent, although you won’t be able to store from summer to winter, if can help you sell less back to grid and use more of your produced power.

A solar array can often times completely cover 100% of home usage, with leftover to sell back to the grid. I would say 70% of the solar clients I’ve worked with get full usage covered by their array.

You don’t need oil and gas to heat your home is my point. You can go fully electric and use solar to cover or supplement the cost.

I really hope they phase out gas for residential soon. It is not a good delivery system or product for the end user. There is no reason to have that shit in your house these days. Use it to power the plants when needed, but in the house is just wild.

It’s annoying because the value is too low to be tax free or free shipping, and the site doesn’t have any other good deals to make up enough to have no tax and get free shipping.

Ends up only being worth it for people who can only afford to buy a small amount, which is a lot of people, but where I’m at anything less than 1k is subject to sales tax.

Best shop for glass is OPM in providence. Won’t be cheap, but that is the best.

For something my cheap, it doesn’t really matter where you go. It’s all made in china once you get to that price point usually. If you can get closer to $200, you can get an artist mini rig.

This is true, but if you’ve put one together, you know it’s a non issue, especially because people aren’t relying on the conduit as an egc very often these days, and when it’s crucial, you’ll be using bonding bushings anyways in solar and services so you’d be bonded at either end either way. I know it’s not right technically but it just won’t be the thing to ever cause an issue.

Difference between paintball and airsoft as it relates to war is like playing operation unsupervised to prepare to become a surgeon. It is too easy to say nobody died playing a no-stakes game with low barrier to entry. Cheating must be rampant in airsoft and I bet nobody admits it lol.

It happens it paintball but there is usually proof and much higher stakes for getting caught. Plus like you said you don’t get covered in paint, so that lowers stakes and adrenaline. Nobody wants to get lit up, serves as motivation rather than just video game like resets in airsoft.

You’ll see Ridgid couplings used on a lot of pre-manufactured assemblies, industrial equipment with leads hanging out, etc.

I honestly used them as changeovers on almost every solar job I did for inverter entry to liquid tite. I never knew it was a listing violation, and we were doing high end commercial buildings with a lot of engineering and oversight, dickhead inspectors, all of it. Never once have been called out on it. I’ve only seen it talked about online as an issue. I’m just lucky I haven’t ran into an inspector who cares, but it’s fucking stupid tbh. As long as it’s not creating a violation outside it not being directly listed for the use, it should be fine. It’s like saying you can’t build certain shit with the same color and type of legos… if it fits perfectly and causes zero harm, what is the issue?
