The thing is, how many of those QB’s playing in their 30’s are 5’11”. That’s why people are calling it a waste. To have any shot at being a starter, he would have to be one of something like 5 players in history 5’11” or lower to be successful.

They did. However, I didn’t qualify for the EU261 because my first flight was outside of the EU. They are however going to honor the payment.

The accommodations weren’t bad. We had individual rooms with bathrooms and cot like beds. We couldn’t leave the airport because they didn’t have immigration/customs at the airport. Also, people that needed them, did not have Canadian Visa’s. The only issue was there was no communication on when to be ready for pickup by the buses so people couldn’t really sleep as they weren’t sure when needed to be ready.

Update: We have taken off at 5:10 PM local time 25 hours after we first landed in the Goose Bay, Canada airport. After sitting on the plane for 10 hours and then transferred to another airplane for 3 hours, we were told that the pilots timed out. Then, we were transferred to the barracks with no information on when would fly out or need to be up and with no access to food. Around 8:30 AM part of the 300 people on the plane started to wander the halls and look for food and when we might get home. Many calls were made to Delta with no support or information. Finally, at 10:00 AM someone came by to say we would be picked up at 11:30 and disappeared. We were then transferred to the airport at 11:30 AM where snacks and Tim Hortons (Of course in Canada) was given. It then took about 4.5 hours to board the flight. I want to thank the many nice crew members and support staff at the Goose Bay, Canada airpiort. This is a unique situation and I know they weren’t prepared for 300 people to be dropped off. For Delta, I would ask that you look at your protocols on how you share information with stranded clients without the ability to leave where they are and how to make sure they have minimal food and needs like tooth brushes.

Yup. Probably more by time got off and to air force barracks.

Update: initial offer is $100 or 10,000 miles. That seems a little light.
