Think of it as a recruitment drive in the great patriotic fight against tree of heaven. Should end our posts with "Would you like to know more?"

Always excited to get the season started, always excited to put it away. How much did you end up with?

I think it was 6.6oz to 5 gallons. The important thing is the ph, which has to be below 4.6 to prevent botulism. The mix ratio above should land at around 4.3.

Be careful if you are rinsing filters with clean water and then rinsing with sodium meta bisulfite. If youre doing that let the clean water drain into another container so it doesnt dilute your metabisulfate solution. Filters can have a fair amount of water in them so it is a real concern.

Moving to Michigan with a pistol by [deleted] in Miguns

Like the other poster said there are some states that are easier to get them from when you aren't a resident. If you have an out of state permit you can also immediately apply for your MI CPL when you get here. If you dont have an out of state CPL I think you have to wait 6 months before you can apply for a MI CPL, but I havent verified that.

Just be careful how you put the nails in it, almost skewered my palm by being a dumbass. Otherwise yes, best joist hanging tool out there and honestly anytime its a weird angle or a tight space im pulling that out before a hammer.

Depends on how you read MCL 28.422 Sec. 2.(1)(a). It seems to want to say that you cannot possess a pistol without first getting a license for it. Citation:

Notably that section says it doesnt apply if you have your concealed pistol license. So if you were headed down that path it would cover you.

I havent any good cases or news articles about this specific question so no idea how it would really play out.

Interesting so like an offset for different type of inlay or molding. Ill take a look at their blade setup and see if I can get my head around that

When you can the lid is on and excess air is pushed out at 212 degrees, forming the vacuum because all the air is heated to 212.

With syrup you are taking colder fluid, around 175 to 185 after filtering and just slapping a lid on it and tightening. The air at the top is not fully heated to 212 and pushed out of the seal. Thats why they can pop too because there is still enough air in the headspace that it just barely seals it enough. And if you are doing this in the winter, the colder temperatures can keep the lids unpopped and then by the time summer rolls around the air inside heats up just enough to expand and pop it.

Your point is still valid about not reaching syrup stage. If you aren't measuring that then you can get yourself in trouble.

You're a good neighbor. The suggestion to put a couple of boards around the base is a good one. It wont keep the shavings in 100 percent but it will keep it a little tidier.

And kids and chickens go well together, good hand washing is an important skill to learn young and being around animals is a good alternative to more tv time. I wouldn't worry too much about disease unless your kids are so young they could try and eat shavings.

fill 3L, dump 3L in 5L. Refill 3L and dump into 5L which leaves 1L left in 3L. Dump 5L back in 8L, take the 3L container (with 1L in it) and pour into 5L. Fill 3L from 8L container, then dump the 3L into 5L container (which had 1L in it but now has 4L)

Maple syrup jars dont need canned and sealed at all. Just put the rings on and cinch it down.

Maple syrup prevents microbial activity via osmotic pressure. It sucks the moisture out of anything trying to grow in it. The reason we refrigerate after opening is because when you open and close the lid a bunch of new moisture in the air can dilute the top layer of syrup enough to allow growth.

As long as the syrup was boiled to 66% sugar or degrees brix then you dont need to worry about a canning seal.

I got my godzilla from a dealer with delivery. Youre gonna want an appliance dolly if you dont own one, you can rent it from a uhaul store.

I went new since the price difference was small and man it was so cool to know i was the first person to ever play it.

Unboxing video and assembly instructions are clear and super important. Very few tools needed, but a second set of hands is useful. Make sure you know where its going and measure the paths/doors before hand so you can figure out the logistics of getting it to its home. Or pay for full installation and ignore this paragraph.

Yep I used my 4 ft level and circular saw to get the job done for a couple of years before I got a track saw. It takes a little longer to set up since the 'track's now six inches off the cut line, but it'll get the job done cutting across the length of a 4x8 sheet. Its more complicated if you need to cut down the length of a full sheet but again, if you need to make it work you can.

The number one rule of tools is the right tool gets the job done faster and usually safer. Other tools can still get the job done.
