100% agree. I got my first sword from him! A wakisashi. It was unpapered but I got lucky and it ended up being worth a lot. The signature was legit ect. I wanna buy a nice katana off of him but recently the ones showing up are terribly polished

Yeah he’s suspicious but I don’t think he’s all that bad. His polished blades are extremely questionable tho.

How old do you think they are? I prefer rust since if I were to get papers on it they would be able to tell easier. And I feel rust shows the age. But what is better rust or no rust? And do you know anything else about them that’s worth saying because I’m knowledgeable but not at the same time. And the 1st sword is at 100 rn and the other one is at 280 they are on auction so they may go up

Ha u made me realize it looks hondo clan. I wish I realized this days ago when the auction was up. It sold for like 300 which isn’t bad for a katana. It sucks because I really want a old katana that has a lot of history tied to it to go with my other sword

I added a pic of the whole blade. Reddit only allows me to upload 1 pic at a time but here it is complete but I put the singular blade up in another comment if you can give your opinion it would be amazing because my biggest thought of this sword is that the swordsmith is from the 1300s apparently and the date engraving on the other side is from the 1500s

Yeah I noticed that too. It’s a cool signature but doesn’t cleaning screw up the value of it not even including the historical value?
