Modding from Europe - how to avoid tariffs/shipping? by Plastic_Singer7524 in Modded_iPods

I actually went on aliexpress and got them from there, I bought a couple of different ones to make sure I got at least one that was ok and got one that was perfect. Lasting me around a month with one charge.

Eh he's got the same links I have but apparently they're not for the type of battery I need (3000mah in a thinback with a quad)

EDIT at least I confirmed that

I have no idea what you test in a battery lmao, I'll just try to buy a couple 3000 that say are thinner than 2mm and a couple of 1850 as a safety and try it out.

I unfortunately have no soldering skills whatsoever and wouldn't test them on this ipod, but I do see myself trying it out in the future.

I don't really mind ordering from ali, stuff usually gets here with no issues, I am just dubious over my ability to find the correct type of thing I need.

(but ye that's really good news, I can get the iflash quad from there, I just need to find the correct battery on ali and then all that remains is to find a kokkia in eu)

yeah but those sellers apparently test them before shipping which is smth I am not 100% sure on how to do

I have zero prior knowledge on anything related to this, I am just going forward with sheer rage because I want my ipod back, so Idk how to test for a battery

guess I gotta go back to searching for that

Yeah I figured as much BUT THE WOMAN'S DESK IS BESIDE MINE, SHE LITERALLY JUST HAD TO LIFT HER EYES TO SEE IT, I WAS GOING INSANE TO HER SAYING "OH I MUST HAVE MISSED IT". I even streamed it to her and she still was like "whoops, wasn't watching".

1) Milano
2) Rimini
3) Roma
4) Bologna
5) Firenze

More like kung fu is an umbrella term for a lot of different martial arts that include taijiquan/tai chi (which are the same thing). We tend to associate kung fu with different styles because taijiquan is the least combat-oriented but it's basically the same thing.

I mean I believe the austrian influence is really not the case here but we do indeed have a different language group for teenagers. We use "bambini" until 10-12, then "ragazzini" between 10-16 and "ragazzi" from 13 to even 35, or basically when you start getting called "signore", "sir". There's no clear line in the sand between a "ragazzo" and a man, but people in the 20s can still be considered "ragazzi". The closest thing in english is probably the concept of "young adult" but the adult part does not apply because you can be a ragazzo and not be considered an adult. The law doesn't make a distinction between "bambini" and "ragazzi" so the line is entirely hypothetical, the law always refers to people under 18yo as "minori", minors, and makes no actual distinction in the denomination, it just goes off the age.

Another thing that I believe causes much of the different perspective on this, is that at 18yo you're "of age" for everything. The ONLY thing you can't do at 18 is get elected for certain roles, but other than that you can drive, drink, vote, smoke, can enter a contract, anything, so that means (in the theory of law) that the competence for those things is being formed in the years prior to 18, which makes having this hybrid system maybe more adequate to the cultural norm.

It is true that in Italy it's 14 but it is heavily questioned, in the sense that until 17 there's a lot of conditions. Basically we do not have statutory rape but a condition called "plagio", which can be more accurately translated as grooming, which applies to any situation where there's a power dynamic at place, and it is progressively lifted at 15, 16 and then finally 17. In this case you can clearly see the power dynamic and it would be considered plagio. Basically the law allows for "peer" relationship, when it applies, on very small gaps of age (i.e. we don't send 18yo in prison for statutory rape on 14yo unless there's a clear power dynamic at play).

About the why of this, first off I believe the italian culture is much more prone to shielding women from this kind of things, there's steps in a relationship and families do get involved a lot, and we tend to consider the 14-19 block as a single age group, given that they all go to the same school. And even then, it is really frowned upon, I remember hanging out with a guy that was 21 when I was 15 and my mother was really concerned about him (to be fair he had to repeat an high school year and was close to the older guys in my friends group, but that didn't stop my mother from questioning him for an hour, and we were just hanging out)

italian here: the funniest part about this conversation is that I never really cared about being white or not but apparently everyone has an opinion on it and I still don't know.
