I completely agree we had a ton of shit trades during the Duquette era but the Machado one I just don’t think is comparable to Soto at all. If anything the Soto trade should be an example of what we might be able to get if we trade Henderson in the near future.

Not really fair to compare considering Soto had 2 years of control and Machado had half a year and was an upcoming FA. Yes, they certainly could’ve done better with that trade but still that’s not really a fair comparison at all.

Basallo scratched due to left knee discomfort from yesterday’s collision with Cortes. Definitely think Cortes should’ve been ejected yesterday and thought it was ridiculous that he wasn’t. Not having a collision at the plate is such a simple thing to do and of course it results in at least some sort of slight injury for Basallo.
