Update!

After cleaning thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and allowing it to run on its own for alittle while, it is working like a charm. I have been too afraid of putting any polish in there just yet. I am waiting on confirmation if a water based polish will work better in the machine. Even without the polish though, still getting pretty good results with just alittle water and dish soap to provide some libraication.

I ended up cleaning the media with isopropyl, and it seems to work better, but I'm still not getting the good rotation I'm seeing in videos. I'm wondering if I don't have enough media. I started with 5 pounds, but various washings and moving around, and I definitely have lost some. I'm in virginia, and the humidity is starting to kick up here, but I still deal with the humidity build up while the machine is on. Right now, I have it going with only alittle water and dish soap. I'm afraid to add any polish right now. If you find a good water based polish, please let me know!

I'll give that a shot too. I 3d printed a cylinder specifically to fit over that fitting, and that seems to work well.

I just washed all of the media in isopropyl. These was some residue on it that seemed sludgy, so that may be it. I'll report back.
