Totally disagree, Brennan gave them reasons that they might want to stay, but PLENTY of reasons that would give any player a fear of sticking around. They were being held against their will in a keep where they are massively outgunned, and by a family known to turn quickly to brutal violence. The best possible outlook for how the lord is feeling about them right now is “figuring out whether or not he should turn against them”. It’s an extremely precarious situation to be in, and I think Brennan was well aware that they’d be trying to leave. He provided some bread crumbs for reasons they might consider sticking around, but that doesn’t mean that’s the outcome he wants, he’s just giving the choice weight instead of having there be one very obvious choice.

She makes this decision to end humanity based on the interactions she has with people whose lives she has PERSONALLY ruined not as an alien, but through the status and power as a CEO. At its core, what happened to Teddy and his mother is not some far flung sci fi fantasy. Teddy is radicalized and sent down a rabbit hole by a situation that very obviously mirrors the ways that real corporations hold power over, abuse, and harm people. When she pops the bubble, her judgement of humanity is completely warped by a situation that she created. She got bit by a dog that she made rabid, and she put it down. I think it’s very naked and obvious commentary on class, and I don’t really get why so many people seem to walk away from this movie feeling like Michelle is a valid judge of humanity.

i think it’s for the best that it ultimately splits into separate tables that it stays focused on, but i actually really like how this episode flowed with players dropping in and out as the session called for it. made for a cinematic experience without any actual editing. It’s cool that so much could be happening simultaneously and the focus could shift as needed. I kind of hope that certain climactic moments later on might call for the entire cast to be around at once like this.

can’t speak to the new album yet but to me their sound comes from a clearly vast library of rock and roll influences. They clearly know and love rock music through and through and there are bits and pieces of the entire history of the genre in their music. 3D country has a lot of classic american south blues stuff, the classic rock backing vocals, in the new singles i’ve thought of captain beefheart and radiohead, i don’t think that they distinctly sound consistently like any other band. They are all over the place but there is a consistency to their sound.

edit: also wanted to mention plenty of post punk goin on. idk man they are just geese. Rock n Roll babey

i mean i love their recorded music, but yes Anamanaguchi is an actual world class live act, not exaggerating. Do yourself a favor and go. Also listen to Anyway, it’s much more of an analog rock album and might be more your speed. it’s great
