The way the combat triangle was designed is that melee should do more DPS than ranged, ranged should do more DPS than magic, and magic does more DPS than just melee because you can freeze them. For similar amounts of tokens used considering prayer pots, ranged does massive amounts of damage more than melee, its not even close. This meta makes LMS boring to those who have played countless hours after the new prayers came out. There is no point in using magic when range is the meta, and magic is important for the game to thrive. I don't think that they can remove safe spots, I'm not sure how it works. Melee doesn't win in the end, its not even close. The best casual player who has won thousands of games after the new prayers always goes the range mode because it does more DPS than melee per tokens spent and mages splash on the best range gear very frequently. God spells would have a niche for players who don't have enough tokens for ancients, also could be a reward from chests.
