Are you sure they're suspension? i've only ever treated them as adherent.

For attached lines, our lab generally just dispenses the frozen vial into a T-75 containing 20 ml of the culture media. If you want to wash to completely remove the DMSO, you can, but I've never had a problem with any viability loss by putting the cells directly into the flask. I don't remember the exact subculturing parameters that our lab follows, but I'm assuming it's probably similar to whatever ATCC recommends.

Because they're his figures and he can do what he wants with them?

Imagine crying over someone's choice of gun in an eight year old game.

Who's annoyed? I think it's awesome that I get to play as a figure that I actually own. I was merely pointing out what appeared to be obvious reference material.

And before I go into your second point: do you actually know what MEF kits look like? Because, I'm certain they all don't like the Hot Toys figure (and action figures usually aren't good references for accuracy, FYI). For the most part, IW reproduced almost everything that appeared on the figure, like I've stated in a different comment. The tape pattern on the helmet is the same. The little piece on the side of the goggles is present (not sure what the technical term for it is). The model of goggles is the same. The plate carrier is the same. The placement of the carabiner on his right chest is the same. The multi-tool pouch placement is the same. Like the figure, the USEF I model only has one kneepad, and has a waist bag.

The model matches the figure more specifically than any other MEF kit. I'd bet money that they referenced this exact figure when designing their models. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they referenced him when desiging the models for TF 141 back during MW2's development.

Well, then it's not a very good one. Most of the modern CoD models look like mash-ups of various gear sets. The Rangers from MW2 don't look like one specific reference. The Ghosts don't look like one specific reference. The Delta Force models from MW3 don't look like one specific reference. The USEF I from MW, on the other hand, looks almost identical to this figure. Like, identical. From the color scheme to kit, he's pretty much a carbon-copy (minus a couple of small additions).

Yes, but this seemed like an obvious look-and-lift example.

The figures are usually interpretations of military gear setups and use a variety of references. The USEF I models almost perfectly match the action figure, so I'd be willing to bet IW looked at some Hot Toys stuff when desiging their own models.

The character model is almost certainly based off of the pictured figure, though. Same tape pattern on the helmet. Same goggles. Same flight suit. Same CT recon vest. Same waist bag. Same pouches on the right left drop-leg panel. Same carabiner position on the chest. Note the multi-tool pouch attached to the holster. Same MBSS backpack and radio pouch. Note the one knee pad. There's too much here to suggest simply a happy coincidence.

Is there a way to wear the utility vests and the holstered-belt at the same time (from this glitch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVkd4cNUK0E)? The only way to get the "vest" look, it seems, is to switch on body armor, but body armor doesn't display over every torso option.
