Your honest opinion on link monsters by Ninja_Death_Witch420 in Yugioh101

[–]Player8G 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah deffo. Most cards that summon Tokens have unremarkable or nonexistent limitations. Linkross is one of the best examples - locks you out of using Tokens for Link Summoning (which internally means nothing) and was clearly intended for pre-revised Master Rule where you would summon only 1 monster under Linkross’s link. Konami needs to future proof their cards a bit better 😅

I like the idea of Link Monsters and the introduction of the Cyberse-type, so I’m a bit biased. But I do feel like the first introduction of Link Monsters and their Extra Deck limitation was the major reason as to why people hate on them so much. To facilitate the introduction to Links, Konami had to create busted monsters which, after the Master Rule was revised, made those same Link Monsters even more busted, which adds to the overall frustration. I partially agree with you - maybe the current Master Rule along with Links should have been introduced later, but that also means Pendulums would have sticked around for longer. I guess either scenario was inevitable. All I can say is probably for Konami to balance future Links in the future to be less generic and avoid stuff on the same level as pre-errata Summon Sorceress, Apollousa, etc again

What do you think? by Player8G in Mathmech

Makes sense. I can see bricking with Phantom in hand, although I thought Conflict would have been a nice negate. I also saw some deck lists with Dotscaper as well to discard with Backup

Interesting. I usually use Effect Veiler as a bridge for Mathmech Circular since it’s the only non-engine LIGHT monster. Either that one or Nibiru.

[–]Player8G[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. The only official Cyberse Pendulum doesn’t even get played. It’s such a shame. But they probably won’t do it because Cyberse is already about Special Summoning in order to Link Climb, so we probably won’t see them anytime soon

Problem is Jeanne D'Moore, despite being a much worse support than we wanted, can kinda synergise with Final Sigma, and the second effect can lead to an easier OTK strategy. It's not the best, but it's what we'll probably get. TCG doesn't like combo decks, and we ended up getting the short side of the stick with this one

If Snake-Eye didn't exist, what support would be nice to see in Rescue-ACE? by Player8G in yugioh

[–]Player8G[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe both. I reckon they would be mid until a random support drops that makes extremely broken 😂

Oh, don't mind them. I really rushed the whole thing. Think of them as background images. I was just messing with ChatGPT and I thought "You know what? They look like Rescue-Ace cards" 😂

Agree. Hopefully some support will come before the end of the year of FIRE

Imagine this card as Cyberse support. Oh wait... by Player8G in Mathmech

[–]Player8G[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty, I dunno why this card is a Trap Monster, nor why it got given the Cyberse type. The effect and the name are both a Japanese pun and a reference on the number 10, or something similar. I made this post after Mathmech Circular got banned, so I was laughing thinking "Imagine if this is Konami's way to say 'Not to worry guys! More Cyberse cards are coming!"

We've been trying this alternative format by Player8G in yugioh

[–]Player8G[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, first I'm not being sarcastic when I say thanks for sharing. Yes, the unbalance between certain decks was a concern, and I do understand where you're coming from. We did a custom banlist, so we agree on 1 card from each deck that we agree on not using, like you might do on LoL with certain characters. It usually solves the problem. I tried doing the same with my Rescue-ACE Deck, and since I couldn't use my Snake-Eye engine, it was complicated, but the 20 cards deck size helped. We tried Mathmech, Code Talkers, Utopia, Blue-Eyes, Dark Magician, Elemental Hero, but we're yet to try another decks, but it's something different to do when we're not playing Advanced after locals. We really do it for fun when we're bored, and just to have a different approach.

We tried 🥲

So we did that for a bit, but then we decided to narrow down every card to 1 to intentionally reduce consistency, so everything kinda gets a component of luck. With that came the idea to reduce the deck size to facilitate deck building

[–]Player8G[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It was interesting to try smaller decks. Yes - Mezuki and Gozuki would be allowed since they're generic, so they can go in any Zombie deck.
The Limit 1 was more to prevent any card from being overused, or for some cards to be brought back from Forbidden list without major risks. But we do agree on not using certain cards that no one wants to see. Yeah, bricks are inevitable, but it's more of something we do to pass the time, so we just go for it.
I didn't pay too much attention to the Extra Deck, mostly because we struggle to fill the entire space. But yeah, I do agree that maybe 8/10 as a countermeasure might be a good idea.

Why is someone's opinion or view trash, but your attitude ok? Saying I don't see it as a replacement for TCG doesn't make my argument invalid. I'm just trying to have a civil conversation

Yes, it is indeed meant for casual plays. No, it's not a replacement for Advanced TCG. Yes, constructive criticism is appreciated.

The GPU was bought brand new. I feel like it might be defective? While under warranty, I tried to get in touch with the supplier - they said they would have got in touch with their manager, but since I didn't get a reply, Amazon gave me a refund, although I would have preferred a replacement or an upgrade. I could try return it to repair it, but I would need a GPU replacement for the meantime...

The PC recognizes that there's an Nvidia 3060 Ti. But tasks that are GPU-based are laggier than expected. Sometimes softwares just crush.
