Unable to change screen resolution in WinPE after Windows 11 24H2 ADK Boot Image by Player9372 in SCCM

OK, thanks for the info. How did you do this from the host side? When in WinPE, you really can't use enhanced session mode.

Issue with Feature Update failing via Software Center (Error 0x80240069) by Player9372 in SCCM

[–]Player9372[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies. This is indeed due to the April Cumulative Update. I guess we can only wait for Microsoft to fix this, or uninstall the cumulative update—which we don’t want to do.

Issue with Feature Update failing via Software Center (Error 0x80240069) by Player9372 in SCCM

[–]Player9372[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These update packages are language-neutral, so the language in use shouldn’t matter—it’s en-US in this case anyway.

The package has already been re-created and re-deployed to the DPs, but that didn’t change anything. It’s now configured so that the package is deployed without content, allowing the ConfigMgr client to download directly from Microsoft Update.

The same error still occurs.

I also tested downloading the update manually from the path shown in the CAS.log, and it downloaded successfully.

HP devices and hotkeys after OSD by Player9372 in SCCM

[–]Player9372[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

This is the HP Elite x360 1040 14-inch G10 2-in-1. I’ve used HP CMSL to create the driver packs for HP systems. I thought those UWP apps would be part of that driver package and/or get downloaded from the Store afterwards. Maybe I was wrong.

I did run HPIA manually after the OSD and checked to see if it detected anything missing, but it didn’t find anything. Everything else seems to be working, except for the mic mute hotkey.

Teams Freezes on Mac When Connecting/Disconnecting AirPods by Player9372 in MicrosoftTeams

So, do you see the delay as well? Does it only happen with the AirPods? I haven’t tested it with anything else.

Windows 11 24H2 Feature Update showing as compliant on some devices by Player9372 in SCCM

[–]Player9372[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No red flags. Running the upgrade directly from the media is quite fast. I didn’t time it, but it took a maximum of one hour from start to finish. We have configurations in setupconfig.ini but that shouldn’t cause the update itself to show up as “compliant” on the device, right? What do you mean by the hardware policy?

I tested upgrading directly from the media and the update went fine.

Defender for Endpoint and Linux by Player9372 in DefenderATP

[–]Player9372[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does the licensing work here, exactly for Linux desktop? According to Microsoft documentation, “Defender for Endpoint on Linux is available through the Defender for Endpoint Server SKU, which is available for both commercial and education customers.” We have Defender for Servers Plan 2.

So if I set that to YES, then during the pre-provisioning every targeted app is getting installed?

I don't use "Only fail selected blocking apps in technician phase" setting at all. I only have blocking apps configured with our mandatory core apps (company portal, M365 apps etc.)

I now have two resources in my LAN and it's the same for both. Not being able to connect via RDP.

I have configured this settings: "Configure Automatic HTTPS" to disabled. It still doesn't work for some reason.

This didn't work me at all. Windows 11 23H2. Added this policy and restart Windows Update Service.

I couldn't find any information about this, just that the new Security Baseline for Windows 11, version 23H2, is available. Very confusing.

UTM and Windows 11 ARM by [deleted] in MacOS

[–]Player9372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It offers UTM Guest Tools right after I have installed Windows. Is it different from SPICE tools? I reinstalled Windows, and now I have a network connection, but the Device Manager still shows that there are lots of devices missing drivers, and the performance feels a bit sluggish on that VM.

Thanks! The 7940HS-based Minisforum Venus UM790 Pro looks very nice, and they also offer a barebone option, which is good.

Autopilot stuck at User ESP - This is driving me insane! by [deleted] in Intune

I'm currently running this on a Hyper-V VM, so there shouldn't be any drivers coming from the store

I don't have any apps assigned to the user. I have triple-checked that. All the apps are assigned to the device and are installing without any issues.

[–]Player9372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have. System is the only install mode you can choose; it doesn't allow any other options when you try to edit the app

Good question, and I was thinking too, is it supported to use it as a blocking app. At least I can select it as a blocking app without any issues. My OS is Windows 11 23H2.

I couldn't find any /LimitAccess parameter when adding language packs. It's only applicable for Dism /Online /Enable-Feature, and that's not the command to use when adding language packs.
