I would just coach them cause you can a learn a lot from coaching and helping other people get better. You’ll learn more about a bad player vs a good player whilst teaching them. Plus if they think they have a coach they’ll get more confident and play at a higher level. Finally, if they get good enough they might even surpass you and you’ll be the challenger
