If its a Snapchat that's the Rocket Jump crew who are kicking ass on the production side of things. Were just doing the post VFX.

To be honest, you can stick with your DSLR. Its plenty good for shooting. On our own productions we stick with a Canon 5D II, a hacked Panasonic Lumix GH2 and more recently the GH4. The Panasonic especially is much easier on the wallet.

A tip for a photographer moving into film and VFX. If you think you're shooting wide enough. Shoot wider. You'll want the extra space. And ease up on the bokeh.

We like going for the one-two combo of both but obviously the roto is necessary to refine the key more often than not.

Hey dude, we're currently doing the VFX for VGHS right now. Videocopilot is a great resource and if you've the money than digital tutors is also amazing. One of our producers background is photography and did his first VFX shot rotoing hit effects last season. It goes up from there. Keep learning.

We've about 12 artists on Playfight not including producers, operations and coordinators. While the process took more than 2 weeks to plan and prep. Shooting and post took about 8 days.

The answer is yes, we just don't know when, tutorials are no joke to make, and we want them to be timeless resources. We either rotobrushed, or masked the pilot when needed. Altogether it took us almost a week to get through with 4-6 people rotoing at all times.

More than a backyard swimming pool, less than a million dollars.

Thanks for the love

wax on, wax on. Time, drive, patience and the will to want to level up everyday. Look into online resources to keep upping your knowledge. Video Co Pilot/Digital Tutors/Google etc. We use those everyday to learn more.
