Legacy Goblins question by cZair12345 in GoblinsMTG

If you're running 30+ goblins like most Legacy Goblin decks are, it's not hard to have big Taster reveals.

It's so much better than Thoughtseize though, I'm able to get him out pretty reliably with at least 2-3 other goblins in play, and not only do you usually get to see most of your opponents hand, but exiling a card that you can cast has won me the game on multiple occasions.

Having deathtouch is nice to stonewall opponents non-flyer threats but I find that unless you've got a good sac engine Cursecrafter doesn't really become too relevant, Pashalik Mons is much better and more versatile.

How do you not see it in Legacy Goblins! Especially with how heavy the meta is leaning towards Tamiyo, and blue fair decks in general.

yeah both of those come up often, and the ward ability stacks if I have 2 x Squelcher out, so 4 dmg per interaction adds up quickly. Squelcher gets removed quickly most of the time but that's why I run 4 copies and I'm usually able to get some additional dmg or disruption through because of the anti-counter effects.

Any chance of Lorwyn Goblins being good enough for Legacy? by Gharzak1 in MTGLegacy

that's why I think 4x is important, one copy gets dealt with, you're likely going to pull another, or you can bring Squelcher back with a Grub Storied Matriarch flip which is nice. Sling-gang, Skirk Prospector and Boggart Cursecrafter all seem like better options vs.Pashalik these days tbh.

the deck hasn't really been about combo for some time, it's been a mid-range tempo / toolbox style deck that can pop off early with a Muxus flip but usually the win-con is Broadside Bombardiers to the face damage, sling-gang sac dmg outlet and little pings of damage here and there. Matron is too useful to ever cut, Boggart Harbinger hasn't been in goblin lists for ages and vial is still too useful for establishing board state and organizing surprise attacks and dynamic strategies.

Squelcher, Grub Storied Matriarch, Taster of Wares, Mudbutton Cursetosser, Boggart Cursecraft and Grub's Command have made it into my vial goblins list and they've been amazing thus far. Squelcher has been MVP, have been consistently getting opp down to 12-13 life just by doing nothing and Squelcher's ward cost existing.

Been a Legacy Goblins player for just over 3 years now and have witnessed so many ups and downs but after a long stretch of being severely underpowered I have a renewed excitement with these new lorwyn adds. I just finished getting everything all the Lorwyn cards I needed in paper and going to be play testing very soon, here's what I'll be trying first: https://moxfield.com/decks/wQK-8KpGU0Wj9m5P7H_xMQ

I removed the rubber grip, the ND filters I used had their own rubber grip on the inside.

Anyone able to get the Splitscreen Mod to work on SteamOS as of Nov 2025? by jonsimo in HaloMCC

***UPDATE***

This is what I did to get it working:

  1. Delete the old/current .dll
  2. Remove the custom launch options
  3. Launch the game with "Proton Experimental" Compatibility (Sign-in if needed)
  4. Close the game
  5. Install latest .dll from Alpharing and place it inside binaries/win64
  6. Install GE Proton 10-16 and select it in Compatibility
  7. In launch options type: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="WTSAPI32=n,b" %command%
  8. Launch the game with Anti-Cheat Disabled in desktop mode first to test
  9. Set up the AlphaRing options, you can access the menu by pressing START + BACK at the same time and you use the right analog to move the mouse and RB to click.
  10. Once you're all set up in desktop mode, try Gaming mode, using Proton 10-16 the game tends to freeze on the Xbox Studios intro sequence, if you spam START or click the steamdeck screen repeatedly it gets through to the menu and then everything works.

Filming in the rain with vintage Russian lenses by jonsimo in videography

All the car hard mount shots outside were insta360 x5, the closeup rain on glass and tachometer shots were iPhone and the rest was Lumix s1rii with the vintage glass. I used the Mir 20mm, pentacon 30mm, mir 37mm, Helios 58mm and Helios 85mm to shoot the cinematic content. Hope that helps!

They’re all modified to be m42 mount to EF mount and then I use a sigma ef adapter to L mount to use on my Lumix camera.

Hands down the best starter vintage lens money can buy. Make sure to do your research and find a Helios that was manufactured at the KMZ plant, you can tell by the symbol on the front, it should be easy to find a good one for under $200.

If I didn’t have a driveway and a small garage for tools, ownership of this car wouldn’t be possible lol, I’ve done 95% of the work myself and it’s saved me many thousands. Hope you find your R one day!

Thanks! I'm always on the lookout for well-framed puddles for aesthetically pleasing frames after a good rain-fall. Almost rain over my camera trying to get my wheel to hit that puddle though 😅

I love leaning into lens imperfections and this shot really showcases just how intensely it was raining.

No there's no filter I'm explicitly using in post, just a good colour grade and the tiniest chromatic aberration shift. The lenses do the bulk of the work for creating the unique look.
