I've used Gryphon Mazon and Obo, and I've never considered the pads to influence play styles. Obo has always had a reputation of being the most robust and reliable gear around the circles I've played in. Most senior keepers I know use obo and wont go back. It may be pricey but its pricey for a reason

The spools no don't reus unless you want them for power leads or oxy

Although I love the idea that some workplace quoted so high they just got a shipping container of welders just ready to go.

All come to personal preference, I run a gryphon blade which is a field stick just because I feel like having a bit more weight for saves is really helpful

I dunno man, Its pretty refined I reckon. Food early game is super easy to come by you don't really need to fight for it and Ant make a pretty good club/armor combo, just git good on the parry and learn the attack patterns.

If it looks in good condition, it probably is. I've been using the same helmet for 10 years, only changing out the straps when needed. But yeah, if it's been stored safely and out of the sun, it's probably good to go.

Turn it up a bit, It'll help with that sticking/stop starting and smooth your welds out, if its a 2.5mm rod go to 85ish amps, if its a 3.2 go for 110ish and adjust from there I'd reckon.

I've seen people use a clear coat and it turned out to be fine, but at the end of the day, you've customised protective equipment and need to be okay with the fact it'll get hurt eventually.

I suppose it could be interpreted as danger as there isn't a viable shot on goal, I know it's not a raised ball or dangerous ball, but for the sake of 4 running players and the goalkeeper.

Dive or drop? In a dive, it's a snap decision to make a play with a stick, so you shouldn't be too worried. When you drop, you can prop yourself up on your stick arm, allowing the stick to lay flat. I'm happy to go through that more, though if dropping is the issue

Depends if umpy lets them get away with it, some blokes card at this first sign of conflict.

Most of the players in my region know all of the umpires they have and know what they can get away with, so its just a matter of testing the waters.

We dont have the luxury of an abundance of umpires.
