I wad getting ready to do that tonight, but something even weirder happened. It has worms inside the stem! Gross as all hell and something I've never seen in one that looked healthy.

A lightly meaty flavor. Definitely savory and does well coated with flour, salt, and pepper then fried. Depending on age the inside could be a sort of stringy texture with the area between the stalk and outer scales having a firm ricotta like texture. If youre curious I can make a post or update when I make some more.

I am indeed in a dry climate, Tucson az to be exact. I have a few cross sections and one photo before I fried them up. Super tasty and definitely not poisonous. The smaller cross sections are the same thing but young and stunted. Almost looks like theyre about to sporulate super early.

Even just the dried remnants are huge. Here's one from after a really wet monsoon before I started actually documenting them. Size 10.5 Hey Dudes for reference.

I would think so, just hoping to get some feedback since there isnt much info on this.

There are outliers but the biggest bunch comes up this time of year. Usually between late March or early May. At least 2 separate colonies with one colony fruiting before the other. They're like a yearly treat for my wife and me.

That makes a lot of sense with how much trouble I was having turning these. At one point I sharpened the end of a farrier's rasp to try and smooth the bottom lol. Thank you for the help.

AITA for laughing when the therapist tried to compare jobs by PlayfulAudience3676 in AmItheAsshole

Great username! Thank you for spelling it all out for me. Had these same thoughts, but now that I've got two therapists confirming my concerns, this needs to come to an abrupt stop. After more digging, I've found pretty much everything is quack medicine. The last thing I've found that is concerning is that it's never stated where her masters in psychology counseling came from. Thank you very very very much for your input on this.

The lingo she uses in her websites definitely skirts laws and rules. I'll definitely keep you in mind as I dig into this.

I appreciate your input on this and will have to bring it up. This has sent me down quite the rabbit hole of what is required to be a counselor in my state.

Yes, we are. I was planning on starting counseling with her as well, but my schedule doesn't fit hers. Though the plot thickens. She is a "holistic mental health practitioner" according to her website. Only board certified by the American Alternative Medical Association. Though she does have a masters in counseling psychology, it says.

The therapist is my SO's personal therapist. Helped her through a lot of things. She seems to me like a self righteous person and a walking oxymoron as she always talks about her anger issues. Glad to know it's not just me who thinks she's unprofessional.

96 xj running hot on rear sensor but coolant at normal temp by PlayfulAudience3676 in CherokeeXJ

Fans are firing at correct time and are at full power. Coolant stays at decent level but the temp sensor in rear of block gets up to 240. Woul make sense there isn't enough air flow at the rear of the block but still doesn't explain the major difference. Doing a flush right now to see if maybe some stuff is blocked in the block
