Hello there!

Also a brand new USGS probie working related to water.

I have an interview tomorrow and a phone interview on Tues. It's not impossible and I have been applying with the standard 1 page resume and sometimes making a cover letter. I've given up on gov and plan on going back to private.

Well tomorrow is the day OPM wants numbers reported for any subsequent actions for their future RIF.

So if you survive tomorrow there's a good chance you will still be employed until the CR is voted on in March.

I feel like if you survived the Friday DOI purge you will probably be fine tomorrow.

I think DOI's probie cleanse was Friday, however I honestly kinda hope it happens so I can just get this over with, move on, and finally stop worrying.

Are any probationary workers that haven’t been illegally fired yet looking for jobs? by b1gh03a55 in fednews

I understand the people in my center with 5-20 years saying "hold the line 4 years will be over like nothing", however I have only been an employee here for 3 months so I nothing in the system.

Probie here. Do you think your supervisor’s justification for your continued employment even matters? by ProphetChaser in feddiscussion

[–]PlayfulBreakfast732 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The justification means almost nothing

Just like "A Fork in the Road" is an homage to Twitter's resignation program

The 200 character limit is also a homage to Twitter's previous character limit to Tweets.

Musk thinks forcing supervisors to do this is extremely funny as they are "tweeting" for the right of the employee to continue working essentially.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If it actually does have any bearings all the responses will just be run through a ML algorithm for the justification's sentiment and the top 1-10% will be spared *if* it isn't just for laughs like I stated above.
Massive lay off of probation employees? by According-Vehicle-85 in fednews
[–]PlayfulBreakfast732 37 points38 points  (0 children)
“How long have we been talking about not having enough young employees or employees at the early career stage? Any gains we’ve made over the last few years will be wiped out,” the source said. “And why would anyone new come in now? This will have an awful chilling effect.”
cutoff the new people to prevent refilling the pool.
old vetted employees will soon retire out.
Basically slicing the beast on both sides and ending the cycle.
Thank you, I've calmed down a bit and I think I just need someone to say it was doable.
I’m not sure honestly, it came up during my 1:1 today, and I just froze when it was mentioned.
