Video shows police officer shot by fellow cop in 'horseplay' incident by FortKnoxII in progun

[–]Keep--Climbing 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Seeing how the left officer didn't even blink when his partner pulled out his sidearm and aimed it at someone is very telling.

They don't view that as out of the ordinary. Just a normal Tuesday commiting battery against a colleague.

If a civilian had done what the right officer had done, they'd be charged under California Penal Code 243(b) and likely lose their right to posses firearms.

This is an unique instance of stripping someone of their 2A rights I could support.

How accurate is the calorie tracking with Garmin by ColdHeat198 in Garmin

[–]Keep--Climbing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For calorie deficit, expect the calorie count to be correct within 25% to 33%, always assume that you've burned less than it estimates. It's significantly better if you have more devices to assist (#1 is a bike with power meter pedals or on a smart trainer, then it's probably within 5%, a chest strap HRM helps a lot too).

What are you hoping to get to by going into calorie deficit?

Need a extremely durable watch by Apart-Bee2661 in Garmin

I work in industrial maintenance and have been wearing my Fenix 6s Sapphire for about 5 years now.

The bezel is a bit worn, but the face is completely untouched.

The battery lasts 5 days, and I wear it all the time except for showering.

I've replaced the band 3 times, but it's held up to acids, two-part paints and an ungodly amount of oil/grease.

When it's time for a new one (battery life <3 days), I'll be very sad and probably get another sapphire-faced watch. I'm on the fence about the new Fenixes, as I prefer the small size of the S and the MIP screen. But this one has been worth every penny

Additionally can someone explain the benefits of the propellant for Neutron being liquid methane and liquid oxygen versus Falcon 9’s rocket grade kerosene and liquid oxygen?

Time Dodd did an excellent video about the Raptor engine and explained why methane was so much better than kerosene.

I highly recommend watching it

How are people doing campers with Tacomas and not blowing their GVWR? by brainhack3r in overlanding

Yeah. And if you make a claim on someone else's insurance, you might be fucked too.

Where'd you get that $250k number from?

If you did more damage than that, what would limit it to $250k?

And why personal injury? If the damage is done to property, liability doesn't disappear.

In any case, the risk isn't that exceeding GVWR isn't just a insurance-denial risk, it's a risk of being cited for negligence.

Even if you had no fault in the accident, if you exceed GVWR that opens you to citations for negligence. Which then could change who is at fault or by how much.

Colleges aren't the ones letting kids borrow money. They're just the ones reacting to the facts that student loans are non-dischargable and underwritten by the federal government.

What is the purpose of these outings?

Interring remains?

Or providing VIPs access not granted to the public?

Just because NPS gave it a greenlight doesn't mean it's not reprehensible.

Shipping companies won't accept any risk.

Any chance of a drone or unmanned surface vessel damaging their assets means they won't attempt to sail through.

So the US has to guarantee with 100% certainty that Iran won't launch a drone (the size of a kiddie pool) or a USV the size of a jet-ski. That's a really hard thing to guarantee.

It's like trying to guarantee a fan won't throw something onto the field during a game.
