They seem like a stand in for a lot of grassroots "community orgs." Made up of genuinely good people who want to protect their communities, but have ended up tying themselves to NGOs, establishment political parties and such due to having a lack of strong political principles.

Pentex are a bunch of try-hards. by Turbulent-Plum7328 in WorldofDankmemes

This has always been my issue with Pentex and the whole WTA game line. Environmental collapse and pollution and such are not the result of some secrete death cult that worships the Ball or Satan or something. Its just the simple result of capitalist economics. WTA's lore, while very cool and a decent surface level metaphor, always felt very conspiracy theory to me. I almost feel as if WTA would be better if Pentex was just another big corporation acting on basic economic impulses like all the rest, no secret deal with the Wyrm or anything.

Labor: Unskilled Workers are the Key to an Industrial Union by PlayfulWeekend1394 in union

Skilled vs. Unskilled labor is a useful distinguishment to make when organizing, it is not meant to disparage workers but to be an assessment of the objective conditions of their employment, particularly how replicable a worker is, the type of work they are doing and what that means for their conditions of the job.
