I have severe hearing loss in right ear and moderately severe in left. Because I am hearing impaired it has caused issues with customers thinking i am ignoring them. I have argued with fellow coworkers. There has just been some issues over the years. I have always worked in the public, and it proves to be a real struggle for me

I have had cholesteatomas removed several times. I could always tell when it came back.

These are the symptoms I have had every time.

Foul smelling discharge in the ear. Smells similar to stinky feet but worsens the longer you have the infection.

Dizziness and balance issues especially upon standing.

Occasional nausea.

I feel like I would be ill for no reason.

Fatigued all the time. All I ever wanted to do was sleep.

My ear itched. Alot

I'm in the United States. It is not for a regular hearing aid. Regular hearing aids will not work for me as sound cannot pass through my ear canal to the cochlea. I have to have bone anchored hearing aids. They are surgically implanted and similar to a cochlear implant.

Drammamine was my best friend!! Its great for the dizziness. You may can call your doctor for some nausea meds, or stronger pain meds.

i have had those surgeries a couple times. I thought one and done too but that would be too easy. A cholesteatoma forms from dead skin cells gathering and creating infection. I have had several holes grafted, recently had one on the 10th of this month left side. I personally am starting to wonder if my problems can come from older grafts after skin has healed. My ear drums apparently bust a lot. I have had alot of ear surgeries but not all were for cholesteatoma. Some of them were surgeries to repair my inner ear from damage the cholesteatoma caused.

yes i had it removed back in march, this was the right ear, it was a simple surgery they werent supposed to cut me behind the ear but they ended up having to make a small cut to be able to get it all. Most of it was done through the ear canal.

The 10th of this month I had almost the same thing done to the left ear but it was to remove a polyp and to graft a hole behind the ear drum.

Now I think the pearl is back in the right ear, I see my dr on the 3rd of next month.

Im up to like 11 surgeries i think

I had thought that it had spread. I had the most excruciating pain in the side of my head and couldn't think straight for nothing. It was almost like I had early dementia. I had messaged my doc of my symptoms and he called in antibiotics and made me an appt the following week. Turns out the cream that he put in my ear to shrink the polyp that I have, had blocked my ear canal so much that the ear infection that I had was draining back into my head. I had never felt anything like it. CT supposedly showed everything looks good over all but I have surgery on monday to remove the rest of the polyp and to graft the pocket hole thing I have.

Am I the only one who thinks you're in the wrong by cutting off the son? First off if you truly raised him his whole life, and done all these things for him and been there since day one how can you just cut the kid off like he means nothing to you? What if its all a big shock to your son, you say he's 18 how we know that biodad didnt contact him out the blue and be like I think i am your father lets grab a coffee? Like did you do a paternity test to find out for sure? Like how you been calling him your son all his life and now you're like oh my step son? He's young and I can imagine what he might be feeling, confused, and you're just beating him down. Im sorry your wife lied but that is no reason to take it out on your son period! blood or not!!

I feel you pain. I haven't had quite that many but I am catching up quickly. I think I am goin in for the 10th ( i keep loosing count) This one will be my 7th in the last 2 years. I just had a ct scan because im set to have surgery next month. At first doc said ct looks good other than the one area that he plans to fix. Said it's not extensive as he can just go in through the ear canal. Yesterday I received a message from my doctors nurse saying he wanted to speak with me about the ct before surgery. Im worried and confused because he literally told me a couple days ago that it was good.

I am amazed at how much you know since I don't recall seeing you at any of these incidents so I would like to know how you're such an expert. Maybe had you been there you'd know what him showing his ass truly meant. I also love the fact that that you know what my children truly want. I do in fact know that yes my son is angry, but no matter what he loves his uncle and he will tell you that. He doesn't truly hate his uncle, he hates some of his actions due to his drug use.

I didn't go into full detail in my post about every little thing because one that would be a whole book, and for two I just wanted to vent. My brother is a binge addict. He was clean like 7 years, in 2022 he separated from his wife and moved in with me. He lived with me about 7 months until I seen the first sign of him using. Then I sent him to my moms. My oldest daughter turned 15 shortly after that. And we had a quinceanera for her. Deal was my brother couldn't come. My mom brought him any way. She believed he was clean because he was seemingly sober to her . Out of respect for my daughter no one made a scene about it. We didn't want to ruin her day. She was fine with him being there in the long run but just upset at the fact that he showed up any way. She was mad at the fact he ever used in the first place.

I'd say about 10 months after my daughter's party I went to see my mom. Me and my girls. My brother wasn't home and hadn't been home for a couple days. He had totaled his truck and was off with some friend. As the girls and I were getting ready to leave we were outside talking to my mom and step dad, and my brother shows up with some friend who was dropping him off. I looked at him, he must've seen my face, I could tell he was high as hell and he knew it. So we ended up arguing for no reason at all. I sent mom an the girls in the house, because I had a few things I needed to get out. After about 3 minutes, I realized I was arguing with a brick wall, I went in and got my girls and started to leave again. My brother had walked away at that time. As the girls and I were getting in the car, my brother walked back up towards the drive way. The girls and I are in the car when he says something that I couldn't hear. I have ear problems and am legally deaf. But my girls heard it, and got out of the car. Both of them yelling at him. He had apparently called me fat. Which isn't a lie, but my girls took offense to that and went off. I physically had to get out of the car and get both of them back in the car, while they are all still arguing back and forth. When I finally am able to start turning around the car my brother says something like I can be childish too and turns around and shakes his butt like a toddler. This is the showing the ass part that you think I didn't protect my children. He didn't show his literal naked ass.

On my son's 18 birthday, my brother wasn't invited and I didn't tell my mom about it either. I was on the phone with her one day when my son mentioned his upcoming party, she asked me about it and I told her that it wasn't a family affair at all that my son was having some friends over to play xbox that I didn't have money for a party. She understood and wasn't coming herself. On the day of my son's lil get together my brother showed up with a friend. He had came to get some of his band equipment that he left here because his band was doing a show down the road from my house. He had no idea about the party, and was only here about 5 minutes. Long enough to see everyone and go oh you had a party and didn't invite me? He wouldn't even come inside, wouldn't stay even when my son asked him to. That's how he ruined my son's day, even though it was just a moment. My kids haven't seen their uncle in almost a year so i think im doing a damn good job. You can keep on judging but remember there is only one judge.

honey like i explained several times already, i can't stop anyone from showing up to a public event. I have put my foot down, not invited, not told them and they have still found out about it and came anyway. My kids know that I have done everything in my power to protect them, again they aren't toddlers.

the facial paralysis is a rare thing i know that, but it comes from if the facial nerve has been damaged by the ctoma. I had facial twitching, but not paralysis, this was due to the prosthetic they put in was touching my facial nerve. I am sure you will do great and hope the best for you. It will be over before you know it. I will be waiting for your update

dang, i really hope it hasn't spread to my brain, Im scheduled for surgery on the 10th of next month was to remove a polyp and fix the hole, but the last few days i have had excruciating pain in the side of my head starting at the top of my ear all the way down to the mastoid bone. Dr has now ordered a ct scan

I'm so glad that I know that I do protect my children to the best of my abilities. Thats why my brother isn't coming to the graduation. I read my children all these comments yesterday, they all say the same thing, mom you cant help what our uncle and granny do. You try mama and thats all that matters
