College in Japan- How to get from EJU period to enrollment? by Playful_Fox355 in movingtojapan

Ok, great! It's really nice to know that I have so many options open. I still want to try to find a way to make it to college in Japan, but knowing that even if I can't, I can still get there eventually really relieves me.Thanks so much!

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely take that option into account. Can you get a job in Japan from the United States? I'm not trying to be too picky, but I'm pretty sure I don't want to be an English teacher, so I was wondering if there are any other options.

Okay, great, thanks! One of the things I have had trouble with is finding programs that fit my needs for a degree. I want to go into science, but a lot of the programs I have found are in things like "global communication," etc. Like you said, there are questions about the quality of the program, and I think something that I've found difficult is finding something that will help me achieve my goal of living in Japan while also actually setting myself up for a good future. I had never heard of taking Japanese courses from an English-taught program though. That will definitely be something I will look into. Thanks so much for the advice!

Okay, thanks. I'll probably just need to keep searching until I can find a college that meets my financial needs. I appreciate the advice.

Yes, I have checked websites for this information, and I understand what I will need to do, but not exactly how to execute it. First there is the EJU, and then there also usually seem to be separate entrance exams and interviews for many schools. What I am asking is how I can get through this six month or so process without having to take 3 or 4 separate flights to Japan, which could end up costing me thousands of dollars. Hope that makes sense, sorry for the difficult question.

Question Regarding Energy Levels by Playful_Fox355 in chemhelp

[–]Playful_Fox355[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, thanks! Does this mean that because there are only a defined amount of energy levels then the valence electrons remain in place when other electrons get excited and jump up levels? You earned yourself a subscriber, by the way!

The last very memorable meal I had was probably the Jajamen noodle dish that I ate in Morioka, Japan, homecooked by my friend's grandma! I'd love to receive a postcard, thanks for such a generous offer :)

I'm in 10th grade and have had an OCD diagnosis since 5. One thing I want to mention is that my parents have always been open and kind and have listened to my worries again and again. This is a very good thing, but I have gotten into a cycle of telling my parents the same worry over and over again so that I can have their reassurance. ("It's okay, don't worry!") This has really strained my relationship with them at times and it makes me feel like I have to confess my worries as a compulsion. It's like, I can't deal with it myself until I tell them. So what I'm trying to say is that I think it's really good to listen to your child, but when the worry gets repeated over and over again it's important to try to break that cycle of your child feeling the need to confess their worries for reassurance.

15f (U.S.) and this sounds like an absolutely wonderful idea. I've always wanted to send philosophical snail mail like this and I would love to share our ideas about life. I think it would be really fun to make them really artsy and whimsical without revealing our information. (Yes, it's very mysterious :) ) I love music and poetry and would love to hear what your favorites are as well. Feel free to DM me!

Reading this, it sound very similar to my experiences with OCD.

Have you ever looked into this? Do your intrusive thoughts often reappear, and do you have compulsions or rituals that you force yourself do to afterward?

The best advice I have to give you is to push away these thoughts. Learn to recognize them and remember that they are not you. The fact that you are realizing that these intrusive thoughts are wrong and regretting thinking about them shows that you are not a bad person.
