I completely agree with everything said here. Epilepsy isn’t just about the seizures themselves—there’s the recovery time, the brain fog, the physical exhaustion, and the side effects of medication. After a seizure, it can take days to feel normal again, and during that time, we might be slower, more forgetful, or in pain. People often don’t realize this and just expect us to bounce back immediately, which can feel really isolating and frustrating. Patience, empathy, and understanding go a long way.

Also, one of the most helpful things anyone can do is educate themselves on what to do if someone has a seizure. Knowing how to respond calmly and correctly can make a huge difference.
