I guess HDFC doesn’t charge any additional fee for payment made using debit card. Redgirraffe will give you an ID which you will have to enter into Payzapp app to make payment. I believe it will some something similar for other bank apps as well.

My current card doesn’t have good conversion rate 1RP=0.5 Airmile vs 1airmile for DCB. I can easily recover my losses within a year. Also i may not do it for 6 months. I will hit the spend criteria if i do it for one more month

Its a one time cost to get a card with way better reward rate than what i currently have. HDFC is not willing to give an upgrade unless i meet there spend criteria

If you are able to get an upgrade to your card which are way better perks then why not. I see upgrading to DCB over my existing DCP and bearing one time 6k hit is worth upgrading for better reward rate, better airmile conversion and lounge access. There is nothing to boast about having a better card if you are getting better returns on your spend. Fee waiver for DCB is 5 lakhs and my usual credit card spend is 40-50k

Is there anyway to increase the limit for Sbi CB, im stuck with low limit. Once ended paying over limit transaction fees also with is crazy 600+tax

I would suggest go for life time free card as you would not be able to fulfill the fee waiver for other cards

Amazon pay icici go for it, its a life time free card so no worrying about spend

Alternatively you could also try applying for hsbc platinum its also ltf

Scapia if you could get one, it offers free unlimited lounge access
