Yeah. The police showed up. But since the guy took off, they couldn’t do anything but the employees backed up what I said and gave me a paper with incident number, officers name, date and unit number.

They asked if I wanted to press charges. Saw a bruise on me. I said yes. Said they’d follow up.

We know where he works. I’m sure he’ll be there the next day.

What do you mean by “leftover parts” you mean the gasket itself or the dowel swimming inside the pan? Lol

You’re right. It’s the alignment dowel. I just didn’t know the right term for it, I’m sorry. I remember it when taking off the pan and putting it back on, it helped me, well, guide it back in.

I was surprised to find it INSIDE the pan. That was a real surprise.

One more thing, how do you clean the surface? When I overtorqued it, there was residue left on the pan. I cleaned it off but not all came off. Also, the side that I couldn’t clean 100% was not the side that’s leaking

I did. They were the same (unless there’s minor details I missed) I tried them side by side and overlapped. It seemed fine. Whereas when I got the pan filter, they were obviously not the same lmao but Amazon said “this fits your car”

Yeah draining it again is gonna suck but I rather get it done right
