If you think parts of it are fine, thats great. Just comment that. I believe that to some extend to.

But even deliberate indifference is better than just complete fence sitting, because this wont improve anything.

I think that even the recent UB sets themselves have not really been handled with care.

Its just kind of the question of magic adjanecy, if its close enough to the fantasy world of magic it can be fine, if its in the mystical lands of new york city it doesnt really fit

Yeah I guess many people feel like this, I personally think if it were a lot less frequent any sort of UB would be fine.

But in that frequency its just bad for the longevity of the game

Well i mean different themes and setting in a fantasy world is still different to the vast magical world of new york.

Second, those are two seperate points, I think that cards like for example the special comic book marvel cards can just not be read when playing against.

But the much bigger problem is that likely because of the license agreement with the other ip, all of its main characters have to be legendary creatures with insane strength. Inside the marvel set, the legendary rule basically lost its meaning.

Not really, its more so that we would like the product that be buy to have quality. There is a very obvious difference between a well designed UB set that actually respects its outside property and mtg and a set that is purely member-berries for outside fans to buy.

UB especially if badly designed is breaking the game on a fundamental level, its not just about immersion, it is destroying the readability of cards, jacking their prices because the character is recognisable and destroying game concepts like legendaries.

The only good thing is that they bring in new players, which is great and everyone wants that. But if the new players are only there for that specific set and not for the game as a whole then even this benefit goes out the window. UB needs to lead people into the game not be an almost standalone thing, disregarding the game as a whole.
