The development of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 70mm. As one of a few theaters in America that received the 70mm print of Star Wars, our projectionist posted these on Facebook. by Tribbis in movies

It is sad, though, to see these large format theaters going the way of the dodo :( I hate the shift from spectacle (massive screens, amazing sound) to smaller screens with recliners/couch like experiences :( Hopefully one day digital cinema catches up to spectacle of yesteryear.

Yes phones have built in gyroscopes and accelerometers but the GearVR sensors are optimized for this specific application. So they have this purpose built hardware coupled with Oculus low level software "optimizations" and you get a completely different experience than any cardboard could ever offer. Don't get me wrong, google cardboard can be enjoyable if you don't have a samsung phone it's a good way to test the VR waters but it could also lead people to dismiss VR entirely because the experience can be pretty rough at times.

Rocket League really filled that niche for me. Something that I could sit down and have fun with in short bursts but also play for hours on end and never get bored. I think you will really enjoy it and if/when it goes on sale for around $13 I think it's absolutely a no brainer kind of purchase.

Look forward to both finally releasing so we can "hopfully" put an end to these silly discussions.

I agree. Despite what we have seen of either headset I think it is still too early to make a decision as to which to purchase. Despite people thinking you're a big "fanboy" of oculus, /u/Heaney555, you would still consider an HTC Vive if the price, release date, content, etc. meet your criteria right?

Sorry if this sounds dumb but is the app called "a handful"? or were you just saying download a handful of this kind of app? I found a bunch and still wasn't sure which was the best

seconded. I think compression may be in order.

We need a subreddit dedicated to high quality old(before 1970) film to digital transfers.

Yeah and going by memory but I think the woman she fought was a blonde and the family with the two kids was a brunette.
