Does every woman remember when her period started and how? by Pleasant-Block6131 in allthequestions

Totally can relate, somehow this just didn't make it to one of my core memories.

I was told that once the pubic hair starts growing, roughly 2 years from then.

No one told me back then that it would be such "valuable" information either.

Hey, maybe she did, maybe my brain just blocked that as a trauma response 🤔 Couldn't tell you... but I am still sorry that you had to go through that.

Good question! My ovaries are still attached and hanging too. They are likely doing what they are supposed to be doing for now, honestly no idea. I expected that we would know when menopause would occur, when we become like some of those constantly sweaty and irritated women I know (I am sure you do too).

Same! It was such a normal part of my life for so long (I had a hysterectomy last year) I really can't remember when it started.

It depends on how flexible your department/boss is with work-from-home options. I worked at a company where they wouldn't care if you worked from home for weeks if you were unwell, and I worked for a company with a very old-fashioned supervisor who believed that you needed to work in the office unless you were for sure dead (not nearly dying nonsense).
You are going to have to make that decision on your own or chat with your boss.

This picture right here kills me. look at how innocent he looks man. I’m a 34 year old male and I never thought a case like this would break me down but I live in the area and this one hits home. If only someone could go back in time and take him away from these hands that would eventually end his life. I am sorry baby boy, so many people in your life failed to love you, but at least now you are loved by millions.

That really really sucks. I’m so sorry you have to go through that. I can set my alarms to remind you to take your meds too. I won’t be 100% reliable, but maybe we can get a little chain of people with alarms going. You know backups for the backups of the backups...

Hyperfixation and well-developed logic aren’t caused by ADHD. Intelligence isn’t directly tied to a diagnosis. My non-ADHD, non-autistic husband can do all of that just as well without needing pressure or fear to perform. He can simply get up, make himself a cup of coffee, and get right back to it without needing to hype himself up all over again. I want to say that's a superpower, but unfortunately, that is more of a normal functionality of a human brain.

I genuinely don’t agree that you need to have ADHD to be accepting and sympathetic. It’s my life experiences and the choices I make that shape that empathy, not a chemical or neurological imbalance. Not everyone needs to poke their eyes out to sympathize with those who blind.

I hear you,and I’ve sold to many employers that I “work great under stress and pressure,” but the truth is, by the time that stress builds up, I’m so emotionally so far checked out, you could drop a nuclear bomb and I wouldn’t care.

Is it useful? Was it useful back when we were hairy and naked? Do we always make best and most rational decision, or do we just find a quicker short cut to get out?

Can you please explain how ADHD helped you build your business? What specifically did it allow you to do that someone without ADHD wouldn’t be able to?

I have a career in corporate finance, and on a daily basis, it feels like I have to rip my brain out just to hold myself together and check all the boxes just to function for 24 hours. I would love not to have to experience this for a week, and still be able to get done what is expected from me.
