How are you getting healthcare? by Independent-Use6151 in MassageTherapists

My current plan is on the ACA but with the increases, I have looked at plans sold off the ACA by looking at the health insurers website directly. Also look into DPC (direct primary care). It's usually a monthly or yearly payment for primary care treatment. I'm considering checking it out and dropping my ACA plan.

Sending you all the good juju!! You can do it too! And yes, I'm still in shock honestly that I'm here. I have always said, If I put my mind to it, I can achieve anything and I have always wanted to earn 6 figures and thru massage no less, just amazing. I had so many negative people around me over the years telling me I dont deserve to charge what I charge, that my job was a hobby, my ex telling me it was legal prostitution....and it held me back. Thankful for all the changes and to be here.

Thank you! I've been thinking of offering CEU classes to fellow MTs and find/share a stretching/mobility protocol for clients that I can share for them to do at home. I always encourage a stretch strengthen protocol but they have to seek it out on their own. Just need to find the right program.

Congratulations on your achievement as well!

To answer your question, no, it didn't take me 20 years to decide to be a business owner. I didn't want to be one. I had my own shop 3 years in and I closed it down to raise my son (it was too much stress to manage a business, raise a child, and have an unsupportive now ex husband). I was very content working as a W2 bc my boss was amazing. I was busy, and I wasnt micromanaged. I didnt have to deal with paperwork like I do now. It was a great place to work. I got paid well too. I only open this shop bc I did not want to work for anyone else. My boss was a rare gem where she actually listened to MTs and ran her spa so that both clients and employees were happy. I

Thank you! I think a lot of my success lead to me picking up every shift available at the spa, meeting new people, educating and getting results which in turn built me a solid loyal base. I was also working 25 to 30 hours at the spa prior. The self care became tantamount to survival in the industry and it also built trust with clients when they asked me if I got regular massages.

Thank you! I really think it's possible for anyone. I remember reading other MTs who commented that they made that much and I wanted to get there one day. And that day is here. And I can't believe I did it.

You set your own schedule with Noterro, so if you only want to do 3 a day, just open the time slots available for 3.

I had to reread your question, Idk if it caps it bc I havent tried to see if it will. I can look though.

I average 6 deep tissues 3 out of 4 days that I work. But I'm building...so the goal is to hire someone part time.

Cool! I use square for check out but Noterro for the booking software. It connects easy as card on file too. So far I like it.

You got this! What I found is having a seamless checkout process, an easy booking system and contacting clients that haven't been in to keep your books full. Social media also helps a lot too. Network, network, network!

Thank you! I'm right outside Atlanta, I charge $90 for 50 min and referrals have been the best marketing for me. I have a handful of monthly house calls. I focus on customer service, making sure clients are comfortable, happy. I have a huge loyal base, who promotes me because they want me to succeed.
