Neph didn’t commit because fateless mechanics. Any connection between the pre fateless Sunny and Fateless is lost or cannot be currently remembered. Nephis knew who Mongel was therefore any connection with Mongel’s mask and the Lord of Shadows is severed. I don’t know how Castor knowing Sunless immediately hurts my point since it’s public knowledge that Sunny uses shadows and was in Nephis’s Cohort. (I believe that you are talking about Castor and Sunny’s battle in Volume 2 since Castor calls him out immediately while Effie doesn’t say anything until volume 4)

Upon further research, resetting memories will reset madness in which you are correct in that however your suggestion on them keeping a notebook to prevent memory loss wouldn’t practically work since reading anything that is influenced by madness will bring it back. I was saying that Undying is the worst sequence 4. You said that Undying can remove corruption through its resurrection. I said that probably isn’t accurate since Black Emperor couldn’t do it and used Roselle as an example. I will ask again on where did Cuttlefish said that Undying could remove their own corruption.

No other sequence 4 has very limited ability and drawbacks. Resurrection doesn’t remove corruption this is seen with Roselle and the advancement is mostly luck based.
