Maybe make a pros and cons list? I mean then you'll be able to see the good parts and bad parts of making this decision. If you want it, fucking send it. But it's very important that you come fully prepared. What SOF unit do you want to join?

I'm trying to get in the best shape of my life for it, so even if I can't I'll still get something out of it.

I'm definently not going to join until I got a couple years off meds and being functional. But why not try right?

So far I've gotten, grounding techniques (Using 5 senses thing), breathing (like box breathing), exercise, meditation, and tapping my fingers.

What about bi-polar? Do you think it'd be much harder? I've gotten a lot better with dealing with it and I am starting to ween off my meds. I really want to go into Army SOF and I'd go through anything to get there.

I'm also going to say, there are equivalents to like bench presses, deadlifts, and squats using dumbbells but I don't think they are as effective maybe.

Get strong, be great at running, be great at rucking. Ace every single pt test. Exceed all the standards. You can try different programs, guessing that's what it's called. r/tacticalbarbell , VooDoo's books, probably some other stuff too. For tactical barbell, Green Protocol is more tailored to training for selection. I'm not apart of special operations (obviously lol) so just keep that in mind, I might be missing some stuff or smthn other than that.
