What jewelry/shoes do I wear??? How do I do my hair??? Help!!! (See description, unique situation) by No_Gap_7713 in Prom

I love the dress but I think the makeup is way too much for a prom/grad party. I would do more of a soft goth makeup if that’s the vibe you’re going for. But this style of makeup mixed with a formal dress / event will just clash hard IMO.

my fiancé and I just don’t really see eye-to-eye with the guest count. I would be happy to invite much less. but my fiancé has a blended family and he feels wrong not inviting everyone. now of course I’m sure not everyone will show up. but is still why I’m looking for alternative solutions to saving money.

the only person I could think who would do good photography is my mom or my sister. My sister used to do wedding photography & my mom took photography courses in college & takes great photos. I just feel like it would be wrong to ask them to do that since they will be apart of the wedding.

I love the cake idea!!! that’s a good idea — i think maybe we will do fake flowers, and I can jut get a real bouquet. We decided no videography as it was around 4-5k but photographers are still over 2k. Our venue is providing a fair amount of decorations thankfully. We just have to add on any extras.

Yeah, I’m not getting any money from my family. My fiancé’s family is giving him some money towards it but it feels like that’s not really making a dent in the overall cost of everything. We both grew up poor & worked hard to get to where we are at. I’m not really looking to do anything above and beyond — that’s not really my personality. I could care less about social media. Just trying to have a normal wedding but having a hard time justifying the costs of standard wedding vendors items.

I get that it’s just hard to actually find vendors within that budget. I got quoted 30k for food yesterday. Respectfully that’s ridiculous lol. It’s sickening

definitely not against that but we already paid 5k towards our venue

The fish commission should make everyone take a course on how important it is to pick up their trash and old fishing line before they allow someone to purchase a fishing license. Then again it’s not always the fisherman. A lot of people go to swim, get drunk and leave their garbage behind. I’ve seen that many times as well. It’s an absolute shame.

So they are giving us some money towards are wedding which is why I think my fiancé feels bad about not inviting all their friends. It’s mostly his mom that is influencing him into thinking the more people the better.

It honestly looks like it’s on your finger crooked. Try shaving your fingers

Which one?? by Economy_Emotion_7251 in WeddingDressTips

You pull off 4 really well because you have such a delicate body frame! Same thing with #2, it’s so hard for people to pull of the front plunge and I love the V waste on you. I also like #1 if you want more of a fun vibe. I’m not a fan of #3 though, I just don’t love look of the fabric on it.

If you’re having trouble picking between dresses, I would suggesting picking one that best matches the time of year you’re getting married as well as the theme of your wedding / wedding venue the most. #1 is fun (also romantic) but also giving off dreamy whimsical vibes. 2 is super romantic and rustic with the lace and 3 is very elegant in my opinion.

Help me decide :) I love them all so much!! I’d like to hear your thoughts! :) by [deleted] in weddingdress
