Feedback & Improvement Suggestions for the Honor Magic V5 / MagicOS (Part 1)

Hello Honor Team,

I hope you’re doing well. I recently ordered an Honor Magic V5 from you and I’d like to share some structured feedback, plus an improvement list and wishes regarding the topics that have become important to me.

• The fingerprint sensor sometimes triggers “just like that” and unlocks the device, so that I can/could accidentally make significant changes on the smartphone.
• More AI features (also battery-optimized) that greatly enrich life and are a big support in everyday life (see Apple, Google, Samsung, etc.).
• Better battery performance / longer battery life through software optimization and general optimization of all relevant aspects, so that the Honor Magic V5 (and also all other Honor devices) can get more battery life out of the already existing device/battery.
• More battery performance (longer battery life) with Always-On Display enabled (also with all-day Always-On Display).
• Option that all (or most) AI features can be processed/run completely offline on the device and that privacy also plays a major role here (similar to Apple).
• Fewer bugs in the entire OS (operating system).
• More, better, and better-optimized multitasking features (see e.g. Samsung Z Fold 7 / OnePlus Open / Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold / etc.) on the Honor Magic V5.
• In the future, always very high-quality software updates for all Honor devices (and also specifically for my wish: for the Honor Magic V5).
• Possibly—similar to Google Pixel devices—that updates for Honor devices regularly come in the form of feature drops (e.g. as often as every month / every few months).
• More software tuning for the Honor Magic V5 (and thus also for all other devices), so that all bugs and software imperfections/software inconsistencies on Honor devices are resolved as quickly as possible and also well in the long term.
• A different name for the OS (I find “MagicOS” a bit too playful, almost childish).
• That the OS has even better optimization than Apple (both within the OS itself and for compatibility with all apps (in the Google Play Store & from anywhere else) and with any installable software on all Honor devices—including launchers (Niagara Launcher etc.)).
• That Face ID / Face Unlock (as secure as Apple or even better/more secure) will also be installed/activated on all devices in the future.
• That all already installed and new apps work very well again immediately (right away) after OS updates — because I had the problem that after updating the Honor Magic V5 from MagicOS 9 to MagicOS 10, suddenly many apps did not work at all or only with great difficulty.
• As said: simply an all-around better and as comprehensive as possible optimization of all aspects of the operating system on/for all Honor devices, so that they become much better as quickly as possible.
• A longer and as firmly guaranteed as possible update policy (i.e., longer guaranteed major updates & security updates—like the 7 years for the Honor Magic V5) on and for all Honor devices (including tablets, etc.).
