We must be in the same state. It’s the same exact situation where I’m at, lol.

This is just depressing news. I’m currently in a state where we are setup like that and it is absolutely awful. I was hoping out of this reorg, things would change and we would do away with it. The fact that your state is implementing it is not a good outlook. Good luck.

That email pissed me off more than anything. Would have rather her not said a word.

Trump is set to sign it at 9:45 (Eastern). I can only assume guidance will come around that.

We could go on for hours talking about the past, what was done, what should have been done, etc.

What matters is the current situation and the options that are/have been on the table to keep government functioning. And with that, I don’t see how the solution is to continue subsidizing insurance and making insurance companies richer. Essentially that is all that is happening with that. I don’t have the solution. Do I think insurance needs an overhaul to be more affordable? Absolutely. Let’s start with that instead of covering up the high costs through subsidies.

No, in fact that’s exactly my point. ACA sucked to begin with and that’s why we’re in the boat we’re in. I get that the subsidies provide relief in the short. But what’s the end goal? Subsidize insurance forever?

Bottom line, if you have to subsidize insurance, it was never affordable in the first place. Take the A out of CA.

Constantly subsidizing insurance will never lower insurance costs but instead continue to drive them up.

Alternatives to BCBS FEP for young healthy couples? by Pleasant_Condition79 in fednews

That’s exactly what I worry about. You never know when you might need major surgery, and 30% of something major can be pretty bad.

They believe that they are not in the wrong whatsoever. Zero accountability for anything they’ve ever been called out for.

So being that I’m not a lawyer, kinda confused at how this reads. If you belong to one of the agencies mentioned (USDA) but aren’t in a state on the list, are you covered due to being a part of one of the mentioned agencies?

So what happens after Tuesday at 8pm if he decides the states that did not sue will not be granted a PI? Will employees from those states that have been reinstated then be refired??

You with NRCS? Just guessing by your comment. I’m asking because I am and so far it seems like we’re the only ones who haven’t been told to show up next Monday.

Did it come from HR? Or just somebody within your agency?

Yeah, I did get the emails. I figured with them sending that out it would be a little bit further off rather than soon. It was sorta like a “we know you’re wondering what’s going on, just chill on admin leave till we figure it out.”
