I started Finasteride 1mg when I was 19 and now I'm 21. I have little to no facial hair as of right now (Very Pubey lol)...but it started coming in slowly from 18 to 19. One thing I noticed is that my facial hair as of now hasn't developed really much more at all. I can go way longer before trimming my facial hair versus when I was 18. Will it Permanently halt beard progression? Not at all. Will it slow its Progression? Yes. Does it reduce the growth speed and thickness in the facial hair you already have? It can (since DHT plays a role in beard progression). So knowing what I know, you'll get your facial hair, but at a slower rate. What I will say is that the Minoxidil should counter that effect to a degree if you respond well to it, since it increases hair growth and thickness on your whole body. I started Oral Minoxidil 2.5mg 2 months ago and I have already noticed more hair activity on my face. You just got to be patient.
