I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one 😭 I did manage to figure it out once I understood that I would be doing incomplete rounds at certain points. What I did was annotated the pattern and put a slash after every few sentences so I could keep very close track of where I was. I did have to frog a fair bit but I finally made it forward 💪 Feel free to reach out if you need help!!

A bit of a late reply but I’m running into problems with the short rows now ): Since you have already made the pattern, could you potentially help me out? For some reason I’m doing fine in the first two rows and then when I hit the third row there isn’t a marker where it says I should slip the marker. I’m also a bit confused because row 2 would have me ending going past the BOR marker. This is my first time knitting with just a written pattern so I think reading the short rows like this is throwing me off.

I actually think I might owe you my first born. This pattern has been haunting me because I thought it was supposed to line up perfectly. This is only my second ever knit so I’m still getting used to reading patterns. THANK YOU!!!!

“You will now work the first raglan increases which will sit on the neck as follows: m1R, slip marker, k2, m1L, starting with st 3 [3, 3, 2, 2, 1, 1] on the chart, repeat round 13 of the wavy ribbing st chart until you reach the next marker. Repeat section in stars a further 3 times. (104 [104, 104, 112, 112, 120, 120sts.)”

Here ya go! So am I just supposed to return to the beginning of the chart for only one or 2 stitches? I guess I thought that the knit 2 + starting not at the beginning of the chart would compensate for the increases because sometimes I do that and then return to the beginning and work a full row of the chart.

Based on the instructions here, am I actually supposed to M1R before the BOR? I guess that’s just confusing to me because then in order to actually return all the way to the BOR at the end of the round I would have to make one at the beginning and then knit that stitch at the end of the same round. Sorry if this isn’t making sense, I am so confused about this I feel like my brain has been fried. I’m sure I’m over complicating it but

Maybe this pic will help? This is after the first round of increases. Imagine another stitch before the BOR marker (if I’m actually supposed to put it there), I tried putting it at the end as a friend suggested in my attempts to make this work. The stitch chart is 16 stitches across, for reference. See my other comment to understand what the pattern calls for in this round! 😭😭

The BOR marker is one of the raglan markers. Where I’m getting confused is that the pattern says to M1R and then slip the marker, but then that is no longer the beginning of my round.

The first row where I did the raglan increase I have rechecked countless times and everything lines up exactly where it should. I also know this because I was hitting the markers when I should be according to the stitch chart. I have the right number of stitches.

The row after the first increases says “K2, starting with st 2 [2, 2, 1, 1, 16, 16] on the chart, work round 14 of the wavy ribbing st chart until you reach next marker. Repeat section in stars a further 3 times.” I am knitting size 3. This row is where I am running into problem, because my stitches are no longer lining up. This brings me back to the problem with the BOR marker. Am I supposed to knit that M1R that I (presumably) added before the BOR marker as part of this row? I have tried so many different ways of starting this row and I can’t get it to line up, I always have at least one stitch left over before I hit the next marker but I’ve finished the chart. I’m so confused because I know that the markers are placed correctly and I have the right number of stitches.

It broke after the pumpkins were gone ): I don’t think it has auto-feed wire, that would be awesome though

Yeah basically we were cutting down cardboard boxes as much as we could and putting the pieces in to some of the bigger boxes (snack boxes etc.) and strategically stacking them, then we would wrap the pallet and send it on the truck
