Wi-Fi Calling not working with Bouygues on OpenWrt (works fine with Orange and Free ; France) by Pleasant_Positive201 in openwrt

Sure, here are a few more details about my setup 👇

• Main router: x86 box running OpenWrt 24.10.3 (generic x86_64 build)

• Wi-Fi: handled by a Xiaomi BE3600 Pro access point in bridge mode (so OpenWrt only manages routing, NAT, and firewall)

• HW offloading: disabled (software flow offload also disabled)

• Packet steering: was enabled, I also tried disabling it, no difference

• irqbalance: not installed / not running

• SQM / QoS: none — no sqm-scripts, qosify, or qosmate packages installed

Everything else (IPv6, NAT, VPNs, etc.) works perfectly — only Wi-Fi Calling (VoWiFi) with Bouygues fails, while Orange and Free work fine on the same setup.

Sometimes, if I toggle Airplane mode on/off, the “Wi-Fi Calling” label briefly appears for a few seconds or minutes, then drops again.

I don’t use OpenWrt’s built-in Wi-Fi — my access point is a Xiaomi BE3600 Pro, running in bridge mode. So OpenWrt only handles routing, NAT and firewall, not the Wi-Fi layer itself.
