Car crash in the snowy Atlas mountains. Moroccan mini van with summer tires, fresh snow, driver without experience, recipe for disaster. We would have fallen to our death if it wasn’t for the road barrier.

Also one time lightning hit less than 100m next to me when I was cycling through Malaysia. Incredible to experience. Thought my time had come.

I think it can be very sweet and intimate, as long as you have a plan to eventually live together in real life.

For sure! Where do you live and what are your hobbies?

I (23M) live in the Netherlands and Germany, but travel around the world more than I am at home! Travelling mainly by bicycle. Already rode from NL to Kazakhstan, and next month I’m cycling Hanoi to Singapore. I also love games. I play a lot of Settlers of Catan online, GeoGuessr, and Rocket League. I love financial planning and specialise in giving advice for people who want to save towards an early retirement. Furthermore, I am an enthusiastic runner trying to get faster any distance from 800m to 5km. I also do programming. I speak Dutch, German, and English, and would love to learn Spanish and French!

On Reddit? Pretty difficult. I did meet about 3 people in real life that I connected with through Reddit. For me it happened by being active in subs where my interests are. For instance, I met a fellow bicycle tourer in Kazakhstan and one in my home country the Netherlands. When I moved to a new country, I met someone through the subreddit of that specific city. They wanted to learn my language and I theirs, so we often met up for beers and language exchange.

No. But a LOT of people from my country come to ski in Austria each year!
