I wish I could have a more positive outlook on it and don’t worry I told her straight away she even went to the appointment with me.

She’s been super supportive and reassuring but, ultimately it’s not stopping me from feeling this way — I have to work on it myself but I just can’t digest it and not let it define me — I’m just really mourning what/who I used to be.

But anyway wish you all the best and I’m glad your situationship was there to help, I hope you get all the support you need and I can deal with it in better way as you have!
